I got my daughter a membership to Free Realms and they ran my account for $300.00 in a few days with little $5.00, $10.00 charges.

Rip offs charged my account 14.99 and I never signed up for anything. I asked my bank if they report this and they said no. Something needs to be done so people have consequences for their actions. It's bull $h!t.

This number was also used to give a 0.00 credit to my bank account twice in one day. I was able to catch it while doing a balance inquiry the following day. Minutes prior to me notifying my bank, another 0.00 was credited to my account. If you notice this or similar activity, notify your bank immediately!

This number was used to give a 0.00 credit to my bank account and then the next day $323.60 was taken out.  The transaction is "pending" with my bank so thank goodness I got it in time.  They are putting an inquiry on it so that the payment doesn't go through and then it will be listed as fraud.  I have to go through the hassle of waiting for a new card, but thankful I'll get it back.

Um you people have been getting these charges for up to a year and you don't do anything about it?  Um cancel the card dummies.  Jeez - it would take one month of knowing there was a false charge for me and I would have the card cancelled and re-issued

I think if you see these charges and don't cancel your card then you are responsible.  Not the card holders fault you are stupid

If you didn't read the terms of service agreement before using an online game -- especially on your phone, then you are probably wondering why you are being charged by S.O.E. If you gave your credit card number to a family member and it was "borrowed" by one of their friends, then you might have $1,000's of dollars charged. If you have a decent bank they might be able to reverse some of the charges -- which you originally agreed to pay.

Your grandson may be making in game purchases too if it is coming to $100 a day. I play DC Universe online which is with SOE. There are items in the game that can only be gotten if purchased with fake money that is gotten by spending real life money. Also....There is a version of the game that is free with absolutely no cost to the player. 3 versions in all. one is free, another is $5,99 a month and the other is like $15 a month. My price quotes may not be exact, but they are close. I would go to the website and cancel the account.  I hope this helps in solving your problem.

I signed my daughter up for free realms.  soe commerce 858-537-0898.  They ran my account for $506.67 in 3 days.  I called them and they accused my 9 year old daughter of stealing my card.  I had the card with me the hole time.  My daughter is a straight a student and doesn't even know know how to use the card.  From what I have been reading, they accuse everyones kids.  This place is a scam.

how long does the charges last? I have been paying $12.99 for 10 months with no end in sight. each time I call the soe person promises to look in too it.There goes another 12.99 to hell.

Y despues me estaban cobrando de nuevo $10.00  pero esa cantidad estaba en retiro de espera. me di cuenta que mi tarjeta visa estaba registrada a PayPal.  y me di cuenta que solamente una vez mi nieto la habia usado para unos juegos con permiso mio . y luego me estaban facturando SOE*COMMERCE  sin permiso mio  Fui a mi cuenta de Paypal y cancele la tarjeta registrada y  mi cuenta de banco antes que cobraran los $10.00 y cuando veo mi estado de cuenta ya no pudieron  retirar  los $10.00 que me hiban a cobrar. Yo creo que la culpa la tiene PAYPAL.  Ahora no confio en Paypal, y eso que dicen que es un banco virtual seguro.

Same here-- $1 charge from SOE showed up as a fraudulent charge.  Even scarier is that when the fraud dept contacted me, we had lost power due to the blizzard and when it came back, someone had already VERIFIED the charge with my cc company!  Something fishy is definitely going on here...

Citibank Early Warning Fraud Protection called today, alerting me to the $1 charge to my cc. Like others here, I've never done business w/SOE. Citi says they are currently investigating this company because many have called about these charges. Citi guesses that some legitimate business (that all of us on this page likely have in common) has recently had their credit card info stolen (laptop stolen, database hacked, etc.) and the info has fallen into the hands of SOE, or someone at SOE.

Who knows which company it was that lost my info. What's scary is, they may not even be aware of the theft.

Citi immediately cancelled my card and issued a new one.

My grandson had an account many months ago and I authorized a one time credit card charge for him to play a game, free realms.  Since then I have about 2000 dollars worth of charges, 5 or 6 daily, from 5.59 to over 100 dollars each day.  obviously this is a hacked card. called the bank and they say I am not responsible for these charges but of course it will take several weeks to check out.  I hope these SOE things get charged for fraud and are taken off the internet.  they prey on unsuspecting parents and kids and should have the book thrown at them.  but of course, another will just take their place.  My grandson is now not allowed to play any online games at all.  and that is a good thing anyway as it means he must now find other things to do besides sit in front of a computer for hours at a time.

Same here as well. THREE times since August. Citibank called to alert me of $1 authorization charge from soe (sony online games) and john madden shoes back in august. Closed account and re-opened. Called 2 weeks ago while I was out of state with same thing only this time it was $1 authorization charge for SOE and another online company that I didn't recognize. Since I was out of state and needed the credit card (the only one I have that I never carry a balance on, but used it for our hotel room) they kept it open, but got a third call last night--same thing SOE with a $1 charge. They said I had no choice but to close the account and reopen. I NEVER use this card to shop online and have only used it 3 times since the first closed account--a hotel, a florist shop, and a retail store. I don't play online games, don't have paypal, etc.

The scary thing about this is that this second card has NEVER been used on the internet to purchase anything. So my question to Citibank was how the heck is someone still able to get my cc numbers--2 different card numbers now. Makes me wonder if there is a leak somewhere in Citibank's system. When I get the new card, it's going in the safe deposit box and if it happens again, I'm done with Citibank.

I called 858-537-0898 press 9, they dont have me in their system. $1.00 is not being charged, but someone is trying to pre-authorize this card for something. Puzzled !!! I dont play games on line and never had Sony On line account

Just got a call from my CC company. $1.00 charged to my acct. from Sony Online Entertainment. I've had no dealings with them. It is the card I have registered with Paypal. A paypal problem? Idk....

Is there a common link here? I have the same thing on my statement, but pay for everything online through paypal. The charges came through as 0.00, but that means someone has my number--I don't even have a Sony! I never received a call from that number, but that's what shows on the statement when I called the bank. Makes me even more paranoid than I was about identity theft!

I can only hope more people will see this.  SOE Commerce hosts various online games. My son was a member for some time, and recently cancelled his membership.  We were still receiving charges on our CC.  After calling the company, they refunded the amounts falsely charged.  Although, they are still charging me.

CC Co notified me of possible fraud charge to my acct, in 2 days this no showed up on my cc statement with a $15.98 charge labeled soe commerce.  CC co says I am not liable but they cancelled my card and reissued--u know what that means.
