Just received a call from this number, it was the Canadian Tire Financial Services' Security Department. I charged an online service to my credit card, and they just wanted to confirm that it was me who used the card. The lady was very pleasant and polite, and I was thankful for the call, as it shows that they are watching out for fraudulent activity.
If you get a call from this number, and you haven't used your Canadian Tire Mastercard recently, definitely speak to them! Someone may be trying to use your Mastercard!!!

April 11/14 I made a $75.22 purchase on my card and rec'd a confirmation email at 1:54 p.m. that my order had been rec'd. At 2:02 p.m. an Anthony Smith (claiming to be from Can Tire) called from '1-905-714-4035' to confirm that I did indeed make the above purchase, since my account showed I'd never bought from Etsy before. (he knew the exact $ amount of the transaction and who the seller was, and said that there was a 'penny purchase' (?) immediately followed by the actual transaction). I asked how I could I be certain he wasn't a scammer; he gave me the valid Customer Service # and said to call and speak to the security dept. if I was in doubt of his validity. When I attempted to call the 905 #, all I got was a busy signal. ** Has my account been compromised in any way, and if so, what do you advise? ** Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, please call me at [removed] with your advice/remedy. Karen

Received a call from this number but couldn't answer it. I was online getting a refund from SGS Business Solutions and gave them my credit card # but CT refused the Western Union refund from SGS. I believe CT was calling to verify information.

They just called me minutes after I had made an on-line purchase to confirm that it was me that used the card. I think it is great, as Visa never did this after someone used my card.

Yes, it is CanadianTire Bank calling legitimately to check something real out with you. Staff are helpful and friendly, clear and courteous. Call back to ask what's up -- they may be protecting you.
My call just now from 9057144035 was to alert me that I need to pay my minimum this month to stay out of hot water! I appreciate the reminder.

I also had a phone call from this number. I applied for a new Canadian Tire MasterCard 2 weeks before this phone call. First, she asked me whole bunch of questions including my IDs info. At that time, I didn't realize it could be a fraud, so I gave all in information she asked. Her voice was kinda serious. I thought it's a disapproval of the card, then, she told me that somebody tried to activate my card. She cancelled the card number and will send me a new card by register mail next week. Problem was kinda solved, then, I realized the number wasn't match with the one on my card it could be a scam, so I called the number on that temporary paper card. The call center transferred me to security department and I met the lady who I gave all my info to. I was totally relieved at that point, so it's number, 905-714-4035 is really from CTM.

Actually, thats not true. The number is from Canadian tire bank, and they really are a bank, as anyone who has a canadian tire mastercard knows thats what comes up on your credit file.
jshrek 2011-10-13 16:59:56 Unknown
This is Canadian Tire MasterCard. You have to call them back on their 1-800-459-6415 number but is legitimate.
gymgirl 2011-09-02 15:03:48 Unknown
Has been calling everyday for a week and a half
Kay 2011-06-06 21:06:43 Unknown
I got the call but I don't have a MC either and when I returned the call (after googling online) they said I'm not even in their system, verified I have no card with them, and had no answers as to why someone had my name and number.
Ricky 2011-06-06 21:06:43 Unknown
This is a real number, they have a few extensions for collections, fraud, etc. If you don't have a Canadian Tire card you should answer it to tell them they have the wrong number.
