I just received a call from this number. When I tried to call back, I got the same recording, saying that I either had caller ID or used star 69. So I called Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA and told the man who answered about it. He said that this number was a "generic" number from any call coming from Scripps. So apparently it's legitimate, but uninformative. No way to ever tell who made the call.

I received a call from 858-262-4999 on Dec 13 at 2:20 p. m. on my cell phone.   I don't know who it is from, but someone called my unknowingly, because there was a lot of scrambling around noise and voices at a distance that were left on my voice mail from that number.

It's the number that appears on outgoing calls from patients at Scripps...... it's not the real number to the patient room though.

i received call from 858 626 4999 at 945am i was lady told me that she is calling from Scripps Hospital  and ask about my wife who  is waiting for surgery, but she was not at home that time,   i was given Number to call back 858 626 6922, when she try to call back its going on automatic answering system
when try to call back On 858 626 4999 its saying that " you are calling from ID blocked number" . then my wife called doctor to find out if the call was from his office or if he know about it. he know nothing. To me its some kind of scam

It is from a patient's room at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California. The patient may have been confused & dialed the incorrect phone #.

My caller-ID history indicates I received repeated calls from this number on a Saturday.  No messages were left.  I called it back and there is a recording saying "You have reached a Scripps medical facility in San Diego. We realize you may have used the *69 feature or have caller-ID but we are unable to identify your caller.  Thank you."  I think the calls are probably NOT coming from Scripps and somebody is spoofing their number.

all 858-626-4xxx numbers are Scripps.

Got 2 calls at 6am one day, followed by 2 more around 6pm on a Sat night. Msg was from scripps health. Got another call at 950pm that saturday and it was a strange man who said his name was Fred. He proceeded to stutter "I just want, I just want...." and I told him to f-off.  Very creepy caller.

I received a call from this telephone number at 2am!!! They claimed it was Scripps Hospital and were asking for someone other than myself. Then, they continued by prying to find out what my name was. Very strange!

The number is from a 28 day drug/alcohol program. It was a buddy of mine and after he left a message on my voicemail an advertisement for a pharmaceutical company continued talking on my voicemail which I thought was unusual.

Got eleven calls from this number the man says his name is Bob and he is looking for Richard I was nice after the ffth call had t tell him to screw.... What the hell is up with this?

this number called my cell twice before 6am on a SATURDAY morning!  when you pick up it's just beeps.

Called back this number, recording said it was a Scripps facility in San Diego, it realized you used *69 or caller id but unable to identify caller and hang up on you.  

SO ANNOYING!

Sales call-recording said Scripps health and realized we used caller id to call then back!
