I called it. It's Verizon.

Every day. Sometimes 3 a day. Asking for the owner, or person in charge of phone service. This time they ended the call by saying "Thank you for choosing Frontier." I said, "We NEVER chose Frontier."

They said "Oh," and then CLICK! This time, it was an "American sounding" lady and not someone with an accent, as usual. No racism intended, just a fact.

I would guess it's a phone service billing scam operation.

Sick and tired of getting 5 to 6 calls a day from 858-634-3058, caller id says it from California. Made the mistake of picking it up once, got dead air and I hung up. Now they won't stop. Since I  have caller id, I can see the number calling so I no longer pick it up. They do not leave a message they just hang up.

Keeps calling my number.

Keep getting calls from this number and many times they hang up before I can even answer.

I have received many many calls from this number.  They do not stop.  I asked them to stop calling me.  Then I get attitude from the person making the call.  Today three calls.  Then I got irritated and asked to speak with a supervisor which they refused.  Then I told them I was not interested in anything they had to sell to me.  Her response to me "you would rather pay more money?'  I told her I would rather not receive any more calls.  She kept yapping at me and I finally hung up on her.

CID showed California, A guy claimed he called from Frontier......Claim have a promotion, Freedom Call for $25/month....  when I ask that I need to have a landline for my business.  he said he needs to use another computer will call me back.  Never call back.  Very fishy, be careful

Called again today.  This time claimed to be with Frontier and working in the Promotion Department.  When I told them I would have to call back at the number on the Frontier bill to continue, tried to give me another number, claiming the Frontier number was for billing only.  Told them to add us to their do not call list and was hung up on.

Received a call from this number, but due to static on the line could not hear the person at the other end.  California and this number were on caller ID.  About 1 hour after this call I received a call with no number displayed on caller ID, only Anonymous and Unknown Caller alternating on the name line.  This caller stated they were with NMBI (not totally sure of the acronym, but similar if not exact), and that they were the line provider for Frontier in our area ( although he could not tell me what our area was).  I told him that I could could have to confirm this with Frontier and he replied "I won't mess with you then." and hung up.

We get calls from them asking phone service every single day, sometimes 3 a day. Usually saying "Thank you for choosing Frontier." I say, "We NEVER chose Frontier. We will NOT choose Frontier."

Thank you for posting the info and phone number for this company.  I just got one of the dead air then hang up calls from these Jack Rabbits. I called the  number back..first call someone answered and hung up immediately.  Second call went to the "all representatives are busy. Please hold" recording.  I just called the number you posted for these YAHOOS and asked the lady who answered how I get my business number removed from their database. I told her that, if I want to make any changes to my Verizon account I will only deal with Verizon directly and will never make ANY changes through a telemarketing call...EVER!  She apologized and said it will be removed within 72 hours.  We'll see!  
I tend to get 20-30 of these calls at a time every couple months or so and I really hate it! This form of harassment should be illegal.

I am a Private Investigator based out of Fort Wayne, IN.  I started receiving these calls about three days ago and decided to track down the origin.  Here is the information for you:  The calls are from an outbound call center located in San Diego CA.  The name of the company is PhoneWare Inc located at 8902 Activity Road.  Their number is 800-976-6997.  They are trying to look at accounts to sell other "packages."  Spoke with Mathew Golding who is a supervisor once I got to that point.  They claim to work for Frontier who recently bought out most of the Verizon accounts.

A contractor associated with Frontier communication which purchased on 7-1-2010  a portion of Verizon.  The telemarketers are hot to make a buck, be careful.

They aren't Verizon.

I finally answered and got into an argument with the woman on the phone. She said Verizon was bought out (they weren't) and she needed to speak to the person who handled our phone acct. I told her it wasn't bought out and that if they were our service provider like they said they were they would know who to speak with so please stop calling. The woman said until I gave her the name of someone who handles my account I would continue to get calls. Anyone know who I can report them to?

I just got a call from them, and called them back and got this guy who answered and I told him I just got a call from his number and he just said "I don't know how that happened, the phone was messing up...I don't know how that happened"....I'm not buying it.  If they call again I'm calling back and telling them to take me off their contact list

called business phone over the weekend, but left no message

A few seconds of dead air, then a recorded voice saying goodbye.  Calling back resulted in the same message.  Caller ID shows CALIFORNIA.

We get a call from this # 2 or three times a day Caller ID shows CALIFORNIA ... If I answer "hello" someone from Verizon wants to inform me of bundle savings... If I answer " *name of company*, this is K, How may I help you?" I get hung up on. We called the # back today... Recording says "Thank you for your interest in Verizon, all of our agents are currently busy assiting other customers, please remain on the line until our next available agent can assist you." After about 5 min a recording says "goodbye" and disconects the line.... ANNOYING.

I get a call from this number EVERYDAY, sometimes more than once!  Most of the time whoever it is will hang on the line for a few moments and then hang up.  When i try to call the number, i get a very short blip of a voice and then disconnected.  Whoever this is interrupting my work day.  I have better things to do than stop and answer the phone for this person.  Thankfully I have caller ID and sometimes will just pick up and hang up.

JERK LIST. See my May 25 and May 14 JERK LIST calls. I am being hassled by Verizon on almost a daily basis.  I may quit Verizon and go with another company.  I get calls from about ten telemarketers per day and Verizon is just as bad a pest as the worst.

Called  my business phone and hung up on me.  On my JERK LIST.  I get about a dozen JERK calls per day.

(after a pause) "Hello, may I speak to the person who handles the Verizon account?"  "Nope. Bye." *click*  heheh

My office phone rang today showing this number and I got a dial tone.  I have about a six-second announcement that plays before the phone rings, so I guess it was an auto-dial that thought it got an answering machine.
