 This number is part of a vehicle selling scam.

I just got a TEXT from this number in response to a CL listing of mine. They want to buy my item, then send someone else to pick it up after the check has cleared!!!!! This is such an old SCAM. They will want my info, then they may or may not send me a fake check...

None of it is real, they are just fishing for information. Then they will try to do an ID theft or sell the info to other scammers. Im glad I read here. I do wish that I had not replied. Now they will keep trying because I responded once and they know there is a warm body at this end of my number.

These telemarketers are striking me again. With great pressure to Cox Communications, they stopped representing themselves as being from Cox. Now they are pushing for Verizon. Unlike other consumers, I have not yet, and stress yet dumped Verizon. They have no reason to call me. I already pay way too much for my service and will switch when my marriage contract can be annulled. Today is yet another submission to the FCC about their conduct. Not that it will do much good.

Just got another call tonight. That's two a day for five days. When I called back today the recording said it was time warner cable and the office was closed. That's ten seperate complaints to the FCC and eight to Cox Communications.

Finally got through and asked to be put on their do not call list...they were professional and pleasant...but really, what do they hope to accomplish with this?  I guess some people must do it or they'd stop.

I just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer...but I did call back and oddly enough they said it was Time Warner Cable and their office was currently closed.

Yes, received a call from this number.  Caller ID said "California" just like others are reporting.  I picked up on the second ring or so and no one was on the line.

This is a service that calls after you've cancelled with a cable company that hires these people to try and win you back. I just picked up the phone for 858 634 3072 and it was a very unprofessional person who just tried to get me to reconnect my CRAPPY service with Time Warner Cable. They won't leave a message because what they're doing is pointless and illegal (in my state). It was a cold call, so when I answered, there was silence until someone was directed to my call, which is illegal. I connected internet services with someone else before they called, after having cancelled Time Warner for tripling my bill and having crappy support - so this guy said, "If you come back to Time Warner, I can make it cheaper." Even though I asked them to make it cheaper BEFORE I cancelled. So, just a last ditch effort to regain your business by whatever cable company you ditched. Also, the guy had a thick Indian accent, but I'm not sure if that means the company is actually in India or CA. It's worth your time to pick up the phone, say "I'M NOT INTERESTED." and hang up. They won't call you back.

This number has called me 5 times yesterday and 4 times today.  The first time I picked up only to silence on the other end before they hung up.  I've since been ignoring their calls.  There is absoluetly no reason for this number to be calling me.  I hope they stop because this is really getting on my nerves.

Why? Becasue Time Warner SUCKS that's why!   I HATE TIME FRICKIN' WARNER!  I'M GLAD THEY BOUGHT AOL WAY BACK WHEN LMFAO!!!!!!

This phone number is from Time Warner Cable customer retention dept.  If you cancelled your service, they are following up to confirm why.

I am seem that I am one of the many people that has experienced this annoying and very frustrating string of phone calls from 858-634-3072. Just yesterday at 11:30AM I called to cancel my service with Time Warner Cable after experiencing over a year's worth of bad customer service and antiquate internet/cable. I have called out to Time Warner for them to send out a tech out to resolve issues with my internet and nothing was ever done to fix the issue. The only thing they said that they will do is "monitor" my internet and work to resolve. A few weeks went by and it was never resolved so I went ahead and called Verizon and it has been one of the best decisions that I have made. They are great and the internet couldn't be faster!

So yesterday, I called to cancel and I sat on the phone with them for an hour trying to cancel my service. The rep told me that I would be charged for canceling my "membership" when in fact I do not recall signing up for a 2 year contract. We ended the conversation stating that I would be receiving something in the mail soon that would explain what I had supposedly signed up for.

Now today, I have received over 13 calls from the 858 number. I have answered the call just about every time to find that the caller doesn't say word but sounds like they are on the line and hangs up immediately. This is so frustrating and not sure how they can continue doing this? I want to speak with everyone I know and advise them not to use Time Warner!!!

I will try to get on the do not call list tomorrow and block this number but not sure the frustration with this company will ever subside. UUUUGGGHH!!!!

They kept calling and would hang up when I answered. I called back to have myself removed from the calling list.  I spoke with a nice person from Time Warner Cable retention office.  He said that they kept hanging up because they use an automatic dialer that is faster than the operators.  Anyway, they removed me from the calling list.

I might be receiving these call because I just cancelled Time Warner Cable service.
The calls started the day after I left them.
3 days in a row, now.

The phone caller ID shows Califirnia 858-634-3072.

They have called 3 days in a row now...
I answer the phone and then nothing...no one answers or speaks.
Cox cable isn't even sold around here....I have no idea who it is  or what they want.

Again called.  I answered and this same number claimed to be Time Warner

cox cable continues to call.  I think they have hacked my girlfriend's bank account and suspended her out more than once.  Please investigate this claim.  I dont think cox even services this area.

Funny, I cancelled TWC 2-3 days ago as well an have received approximately 15 calls from this number since then.  No voicemails, and no response when I answered once.  Entirely obnoxious and strange.  Ugh!

I too canceled TWC yesterday because I am moving. They called my cell #, no response. I hung up. Thanks for all the postings. This is helpful.

I had such a poor experience with Time Warner Cable that I canceled their service.  2 days after I canceled, I started getting calls from this number and no one is ever on the line.  Sounds connected based on other comments here.  And it just confirms their horrible customer service!  I too am on the DNC list.

I also disconnected my Time Warner account a day before I got a call from this number. I think they are a time warner affiliate or TW has something to do with them

I have gotten 15 calls back to back every 20 minutes from this number. I answer and no one answers but they keep calling non-stop!

Breathing on the line. Call from San Diego. I called the number (automatic redial) "The number you called is not in service."
