This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
ABC News released an investigative report on this scam a year ago:

>>> He has verbally harassed us, threatened bodily harm, <<<
Call your local law enforcement agency. If you think he is calling you from out of state or from another country, call the FBI, also. If you are a business, you are not eligible to register your phone number with the DNC directory, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is too far away to help you protect yourself from bodily harm, and probably isn't empowered to do so anyway.
Calling and physically threatening someone as you allege to have happened is a very serious criminal matter that carries very severe penalties and long prison terms.

It would make more sense for you to take this up with your attorney rather than fruitlessly post on this board for legal advise.

A Man claiming to be Tim Washington has called REPEATEDLY, for two days asking for an employee. We have told him REPEATEDLY not to call here, he is not allowed to call here, this is a place of business. He has verbally harassed us, threatened bodily harm, swore, and told us we will be in BIG TROUBLE. We have registered complaints with the Do Not Call Registry and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
