I got a similar call but I live outside Houston.  Woman called for John Spaulding, claimed he was a lawyer.  Did a bing search and there is a Spaulding with some legal,suits out of Houston, tx.  Same guy?

Its a debt collection agency or some s***. Its not telemarketing. They probably have a file with said callers name on it and thats why they are calling.

Someone keeps calling from this number and not leaving messages. The one time I did answer they asked to speak to my husband but he was not home.

Months ago, I got a call. Don't have notes, but I had them send me a brochure. I have it. So?
It is homemade w/ pix of the fat secretaries in front of a sign at an office park. Am I now supposed to send money to these folks?

I just received the same call and I live in Georgia. The lady said she wanted to know if my phone number was a good contact number and when I asked questions, she said Mr. Spaulding would be calling me soon. My guess is this lady works for a service to find good numbers so "Mr. Spaulding" can make his fraud calls.

They are SCAM artists!!They tried to sell me an interest in an oil well program!! REPORT THEM TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE!! I checked them out - DO NOT INVEST WITH THEM!!!!They are getting sued for millions for scamming investors!!

The lady called and said her boss, John Spaulding, wanted to talk to me.  But when my wife asked about the call, the lady said she will call back.  This had happened many times and it is getting on my nerve.  My wife started to be suspicious about this lady and thought I had somthing going on with her....It was listed as an Ohio Kentucky oil company which I had no relations with her or the company......

A Mr. Spaulding called from 1 -859-276-3500 asked for me by name.  Called on Thursday, June 11, 2009 around 8:00 am in the morning.  My husband asked if there was a message and the caller said that he wanted me to call back because he wanted "to get to know me."  ???? This caller had a southern accent and the caller id said "Ohio Kentucky O".  We will not be calling back.

Got a call from a lady saying John Spaulding wanted to talk with me is this a good number to reach you at? I asked why he wanted to talk to me and she said she did know but he would be contacting me at a later date. Very strange. I looked them up on internet. Don't like mystery calls!

Someone called me from this number said john spaulding had some important info for me. I looked them up and it looks like they are being sued for fraud - big time! I won't be calling them anytime soon!

Same as above...woman with southern accent calls and says that John Spaulding asked her to confirm if this was a good number---my home number.  Wouldn't tell me what it was about.

I got the same call from the same older women basically saying the same thing as posted. I don't know what it's about are why they're calling. ?????????????

same story, A woman called me, recieved at 8:30 pm 21 July, asking for my husband, wanting a number he could be reached at from the Ohio Spaulding Oil Corp. and that they did not know why they wanted to get in contact with my husband about.

Received a call at 11:42 on June 29, 2009, that was answered by my husband.  The caller asked to speak to me by name.  I then took the call.  The caller gave his name and said he was with the Ohio Oil Company in Kentucky and wanted to get to know me.  I hung up.  This is second time the guy called - used a different personal name.

Just received a call from 'Justin Spalding' for the owner of our business.  He wouldn't tell me what the call was regarding, just that it was a "personal matter".

I just received a call from this number as well. The caller, as described above, asked for my wife who was not available at the time. The caller said that it was a "man" thing anyway and that it would be better if I fielded the call the next day. She was verifying the name to the phone number and she had no idea why we would be called.

Got the same calls.  They called from 859-276-3500. Wanted to send me more information.

A woman called me at 5:55 pm pacfic time zone, from KY and ask if this was a good number to reach me by name. She said that John Spaulding of OH & KY Oil Corp. wanted to get in touch with me.

Caller asked for me by name and my wife said I was not available.  they said they'd call back.  Strange because all my work interactions go to my office or cell #'s.

The older southern woman called me, and said she was calling on behalf of John Spalding.  Call was at 750pm.  She told me she could not say what it was in reference to, despite my repeated questions.  I'm not sure, but I believe that it a violation of current telemarketing statutes.  She said she wanted my daytime phone number so he could call me back.
I called them back and asked (sternly) to be taken off their list.  I informed them that the woman who called did not answer my questions.  They said they would take my number(s) off any call list.

I got the follow up call - -  its a plug for investing in their company.  It would be interesting to see if the BBB has any complaints.

Basically the same story as the others- older women with southern accent - trying to establish if I would be willing to take a call from John Spaulding of the Ohio Kentucky Oil.  This was the first call - -

Received a similar call asking to speak to my husband verifying if this was a valid number for him. Caller ID said Ohio Kentucky oil. Woman sounded older with a southern accent.

I received a call from a woman from this number on 6-30-08 at 6:44 p.m. CST.  She said executives from the Ohio Kentucky Oil Co. wanted to speak with me and would it be okay if they called me back.  She said they would call later this week or next.  I told her I was not an investor, and she said she had no idea why they wanted to speak with me.  Her job was to find out if my number was a good number or not.  Really strange.

Person said wanted to speak to me and called me by my name..... Then wanted to know if it was ok to have his boss call back and talk with me. They would not say what the call was about so I told them no dont call back unless you can tell me what the call was about.

Always a delayed response so it's definitely on a dialer.  They call at least once a week.  Has anyone else taken a call from these folks?
