Claim  to be from the American Lung Association testing air quality for free. Questionable, as the ALA usually wants donations.

I first recd a text that I won 1000.00 gift card from BEST BUYS...I went on line to the website the text sent me, to find out I had to sign up with monthly fees to be entered into a drawing....right after I eft the site, I recd a call on my cell phone (I never committed the survey, yet, closed the window incomplete) from this 404 902 5814# no message left...I have recd 3 calls from this #, yet they do not leave a message. I attempted to call the # fom both  cell/landline nd recd recording, " cannot connect to this "....this s a Georga based # and is a tlmarketing SCAM!!!!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THEM, AS THEY ARE CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED.

I received a partial message yesterday from this  number and, just as reported by Bothered Yet Again on June 14th, it was about an offer to  check my indoor air quality.  Of course, this is illegal because I've never done business with this company so they have no right to call.

By the way, my phone allows me to block up to 30 phone numbers.  I reached the limit with this call!

I got  2 calls  first one I did not answer . Second call  hour later   The message started in a middle of a sentence and was a recorded message saying they are doing free water sampling of wells in our area to residential only.  Press 1 to talk to a Representative. At that point I hung up ..    caller ID said unknown but do print out the number  404-902-5815

They offered me free water testing, so I signed up.  Later, being paranoid, I wondered if this was a development of a recent attempt by NESTLE to open a water pumping and bottling plant in Montague, which would lower everyone's water table.  But a neighbor said it was a marketing call to sell water purifying equipment.  But, we are on a NO-CALL list, so they had no business calling.

Just got a call this morning....didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.  No message was left....

This is a telemarketer from Georgia. They woke me up at 6am on a Saturday. Grrr. If you call the number back (I called to chew them out!) you get a recording that says you can choose to put your number on their do not call list. Not sure if it worked, but it's worth a try.

Received the same type of call..... My caller ID showed LOCAL AIR INFO.. Whatever the hell that is.

Call came in on home phone at 7:08PM ET, while we were out.   Caller ID said "Out of Area", always the FIRST CLUE of a SPAM Call because legitimate companies are PROUD to say who they are.  PARTIAL recording said something about air pollution ....all the way to Maine.  Said to "press 9 to speak to someone about getting our indoor air quality tested."

Area Code is ATLANTA, GEORGIA, but suspect it is SPOOFED.  Not sure there are any exchanges with a zero in the middle.  Usually ONLY Area Codes have "0" or"1" in the middle.

First of all, if this is a real thing, they've VIOLATED the DNC list by SOLICITING us in the first place.

Secondly, Using a ROBODIALED RECORDED MESSAGE is ILLEGAL.

Third, No legit company says to "press 9 or any number to speak to someone; they give a LEGITIMATE number to call back or verify their legitimate legal existence.  ONLY COLD CALL SCAMMERS try and get you to react in the moment without time to think.

Suspect this is the NEW CREDIT CARD PHISHING SCAM.

Why are "WE" the first one to get this call - or at least the first to post here?
