That is what they keep saying! Will lower rates on credit cards but no info! And being on do-not-call list means nothing!

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago.  And I will be reporting this number to DNC.  BTW, this will be my 4th reporting to DNC this week, all for different numbers to my cell phone, all for different scams.  I don't have Caller ID on my home phone, so I wait until the fourth ring is complete to answer. Most people and companies I know will call my cell.

The number is a cell phone registered in Caldwell, NJ.  The question is whether the owner of the cell is still at the Caldwell address the cell is registered to.

These calls are from scammers, not legit telemarketers.  And they don't care a hoot (I can say a LOT worse words here but won't) about DNC.  And they will change phone numbers when necessary. Another person, when reporting another junk call number, stated that some of the scammers have gotten pretty sophisicated by using a device to route fake Caller ID numbers to your phone. Then when you report that number to DNC, it's not traced back to them.  Eventually one of the scammers do trip up and is caught.

The DO NOT CALL registry is a waste of time.
I filed 93 complaints so far and it didn't make any difference.
Telemarketers ignore the registry as well as our requests to be taken off their Call list.

This worked for me :
If you have a computer,  go to this website :
http://www.phonetray.com/phonetrayfree.htm
and download the  FREE  call blocking software for your PC.

It will block over 65,000 numbers.
If no number, it can block by name, such as "UNAVAILABLE".
It will also block those calls that are "allowed by law" :
   political calls, charities, phone surveys,
and companies with which a consumer has done business.
And it will also answer calls with a variety of messages and then hang up;
my favorite is :
"We do not accept telemarketing calls.
Please remove us from your calling list as required by Federal law".

I do not work for Traysoft  -  the software was recommended by another person.
Junk calls are down to about twice a week.  It works as advertised and is  FREE .

I have also received a call from this number with the exact same message that you have noted here.  I get several of these calls daily and it is as someone just put it constant harrassment.  The worst thing is that they come to my cell number sucking up my minutes!  UGH!

There is one sure way to stop these calls and here it is. The most valuable thing this company has is time. So the thing to do is take as much time as possible. This lessens the time they have to make money. Here's how it works....

I started pressing "1" to talk to a human. After he answers, I ask him to hold on while I get my card. After about 15 seconds I ask him to hold on again as I am having trouble finding my card. It has become a game talking to these folks! Don't get mad, get even! So far I have reached 3 minutes 20 seconds before he hung up. I would like to see how long others can make them hold.

I made them so mad that they called me back and started asking questions so as to take my time up like I had done to them. I go along with them since this is what I wanted to do to start with...take up their time. My calls have been drastically reduced!!

I submitted a complaint yesterday about a call I received.  I received another call today and tried as I could to get more information from them so my complaint could be more effective.  The individual said his name was Tom Fuller (and I asked during the call to clarify the spelling of his last name).  He said he was representing "Card member services" and was there to help me lower my interest rates.  I explained that any time I call their number back (862 881-0546), I get a message, rather than an individual and I was looking for a number where I could speak with an actual individual.

slow day in NJ that robo-callers are at it again.
to discourage messages, I re-set my phone rings to the max.  Thus this caller let it ring 4 times before dropping the call.  Too bad these folks can not get a 'real' life.  I suggest they take advantage of some serious career counseling.  I do not think these types of jobs contribute to the national economy.  From my research, these is little to do to shut off these types of calls.  Best just to ignore them.  Have a Happy New Year.

The new year started on January 3rd at 10:00

I no longer answer my telephone, just check who and where it's coming from. then re-call if I choose.

This scumbag (a word popular today in football circles) left no voicemail.

I have received several calls from this number. The recording states this is the 2nd and final call to lower your interest rate on your credit cards to take advantage of the stimulis package.  It also says they are "Card Member Services".  I ask them to remove me from their call list they say you should push option 3, when there is no option 3.
