i called this number back an says its disconected huumm strange

I have Caller ID so I didn't answer it. Glad I didn't.

call showed up on my caller id today 10/8.. left no v/m message

Same call "James Anderson" went to VM no message

I had this on my caller ID also.  I am on the "Do Not Call" lists.  

Why isn't someone prosecuting these pests??

I just received a call from 863-467-8918 - James Anderson. I didn't pick up the phone, no message was left.

Read through these comments, they're helpful. I for sure won't pick up the phone if they call again!

Hate these F**kers!!! Scam after Scam anymore... Dont be fooled by these folks, before you know it, They're rackin up your credit line.  The ederly are most often the victim of these crimes.  Keep them informed on how to be alerted by these incidents.  I work in law enforcement and have seen this type of thing for years.  Stay on your toes, Knowledge is power.

I get calls all the time from this number and it says James Anderson. It's someone trying to give you a credit card with low intrest rates.

Don't want this person, James Anderson, to call my home anymore.

Got the call for the second time today, was hung up on when I started questioning the rep as to why I getting the calls when my number is on the "Do Not Call" list.  Obviously, the scammer is using a VOIP service that allows them to forge the Caller ID information.  It's a new trend in phone scams.  I've made complaints to the Do Not Call Registry and also sent an email to the local NBC News station.

I just got this call and didn't answer.  My general rule is not to answer for a phone number I don't recognize.  Caller ID is a good thing.

I received the same call from this same number.  I did some research and it comes up Okicheebi??? Florida, again listed as James Anderson. Also an interest rate pitch. I just hung up on them...

Yeah. I get these calls all the time. I get them so often that sometimes I just have fun with it. I press 1 and pretend to be interested in lowering my interest rates. If they catch on, they will hang up. Otherwise, until they do, you are wasting their time. You can say all kinds of dumb things and they think it is a real call, at least for awhile. Last time, I asked them if they are James Anderson and pretended to know a James Anderson. After awhile, I said I wasn't interested in lowering my rates. I just wanted to speak with James. LOL.

I also got a call from this James Anderson person, I did not answer it, although was tempted to call him back. Thanks for posting all of this

Received a call from 863-467-8918 Okeechobee, FL - picked up and a recorded messages said.....
"Do not be alarmed..... this is your last chance to lower interest rates" recording stating that I could recieve a lower interest rate on my credit card, says "Last Chance to get a lower rate on your current account" BUT not from my credit card company. Press 1 to accept, press 2 to stop the calls (I pressed 2)"
I tried to call back, however, phone is not in service.
Spoofing Phone Numbers should be outlawed!

Got a call from James Anderson at 863-467-8918.  I was a recording telling me it was a last chance to lower my interest rates.  I just hung up.

Comes up on CID as Anderson, James.  I don't answer callers I don't know; if its legit, they'll leave a message.  They didn't.  Usually these calls don't have "real" names on our CID, so I looked it up to see what I could find out.
I don't know if we're on do not call anymore, it doesn't seemed to have helped much.

These scam artist can use a computer to make whatever they want show up on your caller ID. If you call the number back, it is usually a disconnected number. Via the computer they can use whatever name and number to appear to get you to answer.

very frustrating to get these calls repeatedly, in the middle of the night (we have a vonage box here in Japan, 13 hour time difference) and I can't access the donotcall.gov site from my Japanese ISP to register a complaint!  Grrrrrr.

Was on my caller ID... I do not have any loans or credit cards with balances. How and where  do i report this to get the ball rolling and get them to stop phoning people. I live in Arkansas....maybe the Attorney General.............

Caller ID said James Anderson, recorded message said don't be alarmed this is your last day to apply for lower interest rates.  Sort of funny since, this is the first call and I don't have any credit cards!

They hung up on the answering machine.  This caller is not known to us.

I just got one from ID James Anderson at 1:31 PM today 10/21/08...I did NOT answer it since I do not know anyone by that name. I also did a search and there were two other people with that exact same number..besides good ole Jim. I am also on the Do Not Call list. It means nothing. They still get through nearly everyday. I keep blocking them and they keep finding other numbers to use. My blocked list gets longer and longer by the week.

This number came up on my caller ID. I was in a meeting so I didn't pick up. When I called back, there wasa  recorded message saying that this number was no longer in service.
