no answer when i pick up the phone

I received a call from this number last night. I answered and the caller asked for my husband. I only answered because he had just returned from South Carolina so I thought perhaps it was an important business related call however when I informed the caller that he wasn't available she immediately hung up. I was baffled. When I let my husband know he gave me this website to report the call. Scary how they got my number somehow in order to reach him. Such is the world we live in.

yeah this idiot called me and when i said hello no answer so i said f*** you a****** and he said hello so i just hang up

Got a call from 864-896-9003 and they were trying to sell me a package deal for 4 days and 3 nights to Vegas or Florida, then a 2nd trip for free to the bahamas from signing a sweepstakes at Jordan Creek Mall, which I never signed up for.  They told me they needed $149 dollars up front and kept asking for my credit card information.  I told them that I wouldn't give them my information until I knew they were a legitimate company.  I asked them for the name of their company and also the callers name and address to where they were calling from.  Caller would not give me his name, nor the "company" he works with, nor the address.

When I told him I would have to think about it, and wanted a number to call back, he informed me that the number doesn't except inbound calls and the decision is has to be made now.  

I told him I wouldn't be able to make a decision now because I have a wife that I would need discuss this with.  He asked me "what does that have to do with anything? Aren't you the man of the house?"  Obviously he's not married, because any married man knows a wife has the power to destroy any chance of happiness for months if you make them angry enough.  Happy wife  --> happy life... true statement.

Anyway....
He kept asking me why I was making excuses not to "take advantage of this great oportunity" and "if you want to pay $3,000 on your own budget, then fine, I'm just trying to help you out with a free trip and make your wife happy."
He also said, "it doesn't take half a nit-wit to know this is a great deal, I won't be the one losing sleep for passing up this deal."

I told him I wanted the address to where they were calling from, his name, and a callback number so I could talk to my father to see if it's a legitimate deal or not.  He asked me what my dad's significance was on getting involved.  I informed him my dad works for the government and has the connections to see if this is a scam and will look into it.

Then like magic, the call was disconnected.  Must have lost signal or something :)

Received a call from this number last night, I answered and they hung up. They called right back, I answered and the line stay connected for a few seconds, silence. then disconnects.  I tried to call it back and a recording says "the mailbox is full" who is this????????????????????????????

Just received a call from this #.  Rang once and hung up.  This has happened twice this week. The first time I answered and they immediately hung up.

Received a call from this number TWICE, no response on the other end. Sounds like this number is a X-mas Scam!!!!

2 calls in 2 days..nothing on the other end!

Called on Saturday morning.  Dead air for 5 seconds, then click.

that just got done calling my house just a min going from this number 864-896-9003 it come up unknown number dont another this callings that are scam hope that will stop calling this houses that calling at 9;38 pm just a min going so put this number on the do not calling list dont calling back thank you.

Called and left no message , I called the number back and it goes directly to VM and the message is " you have REACHED CORPERATE OFFICE LEAVE  MESSAGE".  It is a scam stay away!

Got a call about the same deal (see Nov. 4 comment), but different number. This time I'm even more convinced it's a scam. I confronted the person who I was speaking with, explaining why I felt it was suspicious when they called previously (he first mentioned "I see we already tried contacting you, and you weren't able to take advantage, blah blah"). I let him talk, and listened. It was a bunch of BS; he was trying to explain how it was all legit, and safe and secure, and not a scam, or identity theft (he said those words--I didn't). Some of the points he was making:

1. My name is "Lance", which means "honest" in Latin.
2. Credit cards are safer than cash.
3. Soon we won't have cash, just plastic, or a chip in your wrist or forehead.
4. This is a secure federal line. [I got the impression that he meant it as in "phone line", but maybe he meant "credit line"?]
5. I'm being recorded and want to do a good job...
6. Something along the lines of that not just anyone can get the credit card information and use it, that only reputable merchants can.

He kept on for several minutes. Then he wished to confirm that I am qualified for this promotion, mentioning age, income. "Is this all accurate so far?" Yeah, no, the income was way high. He said that I don't qualify, and hung up in about 10 seconds after that.

I do not want this # calling my phone again. It's really creepy when you answer and there's no response.

Got a call regarding a drawing I entered at BelAir Mall. Was told I won a vacation package, but to claim it they wanted me to pay approximately $200. I don't give cards over phone and it seemed suspicious.

The sponsor for drawing was Grand Crowne Plaza, and it is true that  entered.

Call at 12:30 PM EST 11/4/13. I answered nobody repsonded.
