Correct. I called them and they had not received my recent auto payment. Silly that they ask for SSN it makes it seem like spam.

Yeah I received a call as well. I called back and once the recording asked for my social I hung up. I called chase's number on the website and apparently i sent my last payment to the wrong account number so they had it as delinquent.

I just got a voicemail from what sounded like an autodialer ... identified itself as CHASE, asked me to call 866-204-0047. I didn't call that number. Since I'm actually a Chase customer, I called the number on the back of my card and they confirmed that they'd never called me. This number is definitely a scam.

This no. is legit. It is the number for chase auto finance billing department.

This is a lie, this number DOES NOT belongs to Chase Auto Finance. Chase's Website list these number for the Auto Finance:
Customer Service Department 1-800-227-5151
Hearing Impaired 1-800-524-9765
Overseas Customers 1-212-935-9935
So DON'T call this number, this is a SCAM to get your account number and SSN

The 866 number is a valid Chase number and it's for accounts past due. I had the opportunity of receiving a call from this number while I was out of the country for two months and forgot to set up my direct deposit for a certain date.

This number is legit. I received a call from CHASE on a past due account. I called this number and was able to re-setup payments on an Auto Loan.

this is a valid CHASE number. I received a call from CHASE auto loan department when I changed my checking account and mistakenly used my old account to pay so the payment bounced. I was sceptical as well when I called them back so instead of verifying my information first I asked them to verify that they are actually CHASE. when I tried to call the number listed on the web site I was unable to speak to a human.
If you want to verify who's calling you, ask them to give you some information first. they told me the make and model of my vehicle, I gave them my last 4 digits of ssn, then they gave me my account number which was correct. When they originally asked me for my ssn or acct number I refused, politely explaining that I can't possibly know if they're really calling from CHASE or not.
Just use common sense people and don't claim that number is a scam if you're not sure! This number is legit!
