they never leave msg, *67 & dialed # they are a collection agent for CAP 1

These people keep calling me and asking for someone I do not know. They say that this person gave them my number as a contact. That is a lie because I don't know the person they are calling about. I am reporting them to the States Attorney in Florida, the phone company for harrassing me and my lawyer to see if I can sue them. I am tired of these dumb people.

These people have called for the last several days and are extremely rude.  When I ask what number they are calling, their reply was "the number I just called."  Then I asked whom they were wishing to speak with.  "Timothy."  When I said there was no one by that name here, they said "that's what you should have said when we asked."  Uh, no.
Today, they called again and I asked what this is in reference to, they said a personal matter.  When I stated that I wouldn't give out any information unless I know what this is in reference to, they said "a personal business matter."  I asked them to take my number of the list so we'll see.
What is the law for harrassment by collection agencies?

It is in fact a collection agency. They often have the incorrect number. When you *69 them ask them to put you on the "do not call list". Legally they have to do that. If they do it again afterwards, that is when you can usually push a lawsuit. Always get the name of who you spoke to..they are often recorded.
