jana they purchase a load of leads from a company and then they contact you.  i know someone who worked in this business.  after hearing all about the way this business works, i would urge you to not buy into such a service.  they only have the information you give to them.  look at the extended auto warranty companies on the BBB.  not such a pretty picture.

what a scam!!!! call ur bank to shut down the account asap. reopen another or transfer funds out of the account scammed and close it down. MVS is not legit... right after i talked to them... they needed 395 dollars out of an account number to start coverage. then they would take 278 monthly for one year to have a five year coverage. i was asking them is this a scam and they said no but they lied to me and they r a scam... be careful... my bank is aware of them and the companies that withdraw out of ur account. the company is OMNISHARE. thats what will be on ur statement...

I got scammed by Motor Vehicle Solutions. Fought with them over the phone for 30 mins because I was demanding a refund. I demanded for them to give me their Federal Tax ID so I can file a proper complaint to the BBB. I said that their FEID was public info and that they need to give it to me. That seemed to work the trick since that's when they caved in. They finally gave in and they gave me a different address of where to send the letter to. The letter should state that you want to cancel your contract and demand a full refund.

wow, you advocate book smarts, but you lack the ability to write a legible statement.  Clearly MVS is a company of scam artists.  Motor Vehicle Services has been mailing me solicitations for years now, and I have been calling them to demand that they remove my information and stop sending me solicitations for almost as long.  Their employees were prank calling my cell phone after I called them, and displayed their ignorance during the course of conversation.

I discussed a line in their solicitation that states "This letter is to inform you that your factory warranty has expired or is about to expire."  This is a misleading statement and is present on all of their mailings.  My warranty does not expire for years, and is nowhere near the mileage for it to expire.  This company is a fraud.  I am saddened by the idea of the people, elderly and other that trust this company with their money, for the company to refuse services when needed.  There are countless complaints of this company refusing to pay when the warranty should be paying out.  This company needs to be shut down.  They are a group of uneducated misfits who have no other outlet than to defraud people of their hard earned money.

Thank you all!! You all saved my money, time and most importantly relieved me from having unnecessary tension. The moment i received the letter I started searching the net and landed up here. My question is how do i protect myself from these scammers. If they have my complete address, I am afraid that they might have access to other personal informtation too. Please help to understand more.

YAY motor vehicle solutions. People need to read things in detail before even calling in. If u were book smart you will notice the letter that is sent says AVAILABLE coverage expires. Did you read that. If it said CURRENT coverage than thas not correct in some cases. Yes its a rip off. But a legal o ne.
Its like a casino folks , most LOSE. Some win. Some claims are paid and american auto sheild has an  a plus rating on BBB. By the way, to all you idiots who start a business relationship canceling before you even use it.... you are  foolish. BBB slogan is " START WITH TRUST."  How does motor vehicle solutions know your damn cars not broken already. MUTUAL RISK, MUTUAL TRUST. And so you know for all u dimwits out there. ANY company is quick to take ur money and slow to let it go .
yes the salesman are pushy but get over it

Event Reminder
My husband got a letter in the mail saying that the 2002 Cadillac that we had just bought would be expiring on its factory warranty. I thought that it was the dealer's 3 month warranty so I called to let them know that I still had 2 more months or 2000 miles left (whichever came first) But they were this company trying to sell me mechanical services. At first, I was happy to speak with them, and I gave them my VIN number. They said they looked up the number and it was qualified for the premuim package. I asked them what the name of the company was. While I was on the phone with them, I looked up the company. I'm glad that I did! I would have fallen for their trap if I did not!

I WAS APPROACHED BY THIS COMPANY ALSO.  I AM A SOLDIER PREPARING TO DEPLOY BACK TO IRAQ WITHIN 3 WEEKS SO AM ON A TIME CRUNCH.  THE SALEMAN KEPT LOWERING THE PRICE TO MAKE IT MORE ATTRACTIVE.  I ASKED THEM TO SCAN/FAX/MAIL ME A SAMPLE CONTACT SO THAT I (AND MY SON THE LAWYER) COULD READ IT AND SEE WHAT/HOW I WAS ACTUALLY COVERED BEFORE I DECIDED. TO THIS REQUEST I WAS GIVEN NOTHING BUT AN EXCUSE.  WANTED ME TO MAKE A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY AND "GUARANTEED" I HAD 30-DAYS TO DECLINE THE COVERAGE IF I DIDN'T LIKE WHAT THE CONTRACT SAID.   READING YOUR COMMENTS HAS REALLY CLINCHED MY DECISION NOT TO DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.  THANKS TO ONE AND ALL....

How can we get out of these warranty companies wasting postage sending mailers to those that don't need auto warranties?  Can we report them to the Federal Trade Commission? Any Ideas.share them please. I have a busy life and one of the items is that I don't have time for junk mail, but tired of seeing these notices being delivered into my mail box.

i called these folks and got annoyed at them cuz everytime I asked them questions they simply just got more pushy in trying to sell the service to me fast….i said "can you give me the service details and what’s covered to my personal email?" They said I’ll just tell you on phone and the lady is like just get the deal and all the info will be on the paperwork and if you don’t like it just cancel it within 30 days… so i told the person i was talking to that when i receive the email with what's covered then i can make the decision....i haven't received the email yet, i called yesterday.......so i got curious of this place and searched online and ended up here.

so basically by the info posted here it obviously looks like a scam and i truly appreciate all of you folks who replied here taking the time out of your schedule to do an honest and good deed.

I think many of these posts go unappreciated in regards to so many scams or terrible service location / etc that's out there that normal people will just get used.

thanks again

I bought a warranty from these scam artists and tried to cancel because the sales guy told me just to pay the initial $150 and I could cancel when I get the paperwork.  Didn't happen.  It has been over 3 weeks and no refund yet.  When I call they hang up on me.  They told me it was the last time I could get the offer and the sales guy told was very rude.  Their information:
