It's a debt collection agency called RCR - says so when you call the number.
They called me about a bill that didn't get paid (probably lost) for North Shore Health Care. They were actually very polite, took my CC #, gave me a confirmation number and wished me a nice weekend.

I confirm this source of information re this number.

i was in the ER for 3 hrs and that North shore Hosp didnt even send me a bill and RCR keeps calling everyday without leaving a msg.  Jen, do u know how the process works: "I am writing a letter to albany about the legal ramifications of phone harrassment on a bill that they havent even sent out yet."

They keep calling my house but are not advising me as to why?

calling a relatives home that doesnt live with me and they have my correct number. I can seek legal action if they continue to harass the wrong party.

Asked for me by name stating that is was a "private and confidential call" and asking for my date of birth and social security number to confirm who I was.  I said I needed to know what company it was before I gave out that info then they hung up.

Caller asked for a "Norman Gonzales" and when I said he had the wrong number he insisted that he had spoken to him at my number before. I told him that he had reached a business, and he wanted to know the name of the business and whether this "Norman Gonzales" had ever worked there, and what my name was, at which point I hung up on him.

Sounds to me like information thieves.

That number comes from a collection agency which goes by the name of RCR:

Regional Claims Recovery Service (RCR)  is a division of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health Care Inc. that in turn is part of the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System.

RCR is a debt collection service. This is what I was told when I called the number back.

This is most definitely a collection agency.

When I called the number they told me that My waiting time to speak to someone was less then Two minutes. twenty minutes later they connected me to a answer machine.

Got a call this morning. While half asleep I pretended I had an idea who they were talking about. Indian fellow told me it was concerning a medical bill and thast they are a collection agency

A person who introduced herself as Lillian called me but wouldn't give me the name of her company or the purpose of her call.

This is the collection department of long island jewish hospital, for me they call about er visits to southside. They have an automated machine so they will keep you on redial, somew poeple are very friendly and some arent.  They started calling me before they even sent a bill, I believe they do this to save money on postage. I am writing a letter to albany about the legal ramifications of phone harrassment on a bill that they havent even sent out yet.
They are NOT a collection agency, it IS the hospital.
