This not number has appeared more than once on my call list.  There was no message.

Received a call from 8662618450 and didn't answer it at 8:20 PM last night after looking at the number on caller id.

i got this call too-they  don't leave a messege----when there is a problem verizon calls me on my cell number where they tell me all my info   don't get scammed!!

I never answered the number but googled it. I got to this page and read that it might be about being over my messages. I was over by 100. Good thing I found out as that's already $20 extra and I would have gone over by a lot more.

866-261-8450 called my cell phone, didn't leave any message, I don't have time for callers that can not leave a message.

calls from this number a few times now!  no messages are left and the one time i did pick up the person hung up without saying anything. thanks to the other responses i will be aware in the case they ever do say anything. thanks people!

I've received a call from this number too.  It was a man who sounded like he had a slight accent and he did not sound very professional or businesslike.  He said that he was calling on behalf of Verizon Wireless and he asked if he could talk with __________________ (my wife's name).  He said that one of the numbers on our account had gone over the limit for text messaging.  I didn't think fast enough and said that I thought that it might be our employee.  I also gave him my wife's cell phone number if he wanted to talk with her.  After hanging up, I got suspicious and typed the number into the internet and got to read the entries on whocallsme.com.  Then, I called Verizon Wireless and talked with them about the matter.  They said that as long as I didn't give out my acount ID number I should be protected.  The gentleman at Verizon Wireless also offered to report the number to some other department in the company that might or might not investigate it.
BEWARE OF ANYBODY CALLING YOU CLAIMING TO REPRESENT SOME COMPANY AND ASKING FOR INFORMATION!!!!

I had this number call me.  Right after I hung up with them I called Verizon Wireless to confirm it was a legit call.  The women on the line called the number herself and told me it was the Verizon Wireless promotion department.

I opted out of having this number call me again, but was told it could take up to 30 days to go into effect.

I received a call from this number.  I did not answer it however number was on caller ID# entered the number online to look it up and found this site.  What is this number all about??? My phone rings once and then hangs up!!!!

LOL, they keep calling and hanging up before I can answer.
My guess is probably because I use a play back ringtone "I know who you are" by Nickelback......

I got a call from this number and gave them the last four digits of my social thinking it was Verizon...as I was on the phone I typed the phone number into Google and found these sites saying it was a scam, so I hung up quickly...I went right to verizonwireless.com and changed my password and security questions....I hope that was enough... =( Still don't know if it was Verizon or not!

I get the same ones - even 999-999-9999. I just want these calls to STOP! They are wasting my time and really making me angry! Why can't you block numbers like these?!?!

GOOD THING I DONT' ANSWER 800-888 OR 866 #'S W/O KNOWING WHO IT IS FIRST!  ALSO BEEN GETTING A CALL FROM 999-999-9999 - WTF IS THAT!?

I too received a call (several actually) from this number with no message left.  I decided to call the number back, and it was Verizon, calling about updating my text messaging.  I told them I was not interested and to take my number off of their call list.  We'll see...

so i just called verizon wireless and the woman actually called that number. she said it's their promotions department that is basically calling to upgrade your service. i told her that they should leave a message and that there are numerous online complaints about this number.

but if anyone has a question about it they should call customer support....

I answered a call from this number.  The very uneducated sounding man informed me that he was from Verizon Wireless looking to help me with my text messages.  I, like a dumba$$, gave him my info.  Then he told me it was a mistake and that my text messaging is fine.  WHAT!!!  HE GOT ME!!!!  I called Verizon immediately and they informed me that they do not call like that.  I got a password added to my account in time and nothing had been compromised, thank GOD!  THIS IS A SCAM!!!  Don't be a dummy like me and give your info!!!!

i work for this company and we are subcontracted through verizon wireless  and they are calling you people from that number because of text messaging over use.. we actually call people to save money

I have had several calls from this number, and they have identified themselves as different businesses. I have asked them not to call back, but including today's call...they still do. This is clearly an attempt to gain personal information, using different lies. I do not answer anymore.

Received a call from this # stating they were calling "on behalf of" Verizon Wireless.  Asked if I had time to go over my account, no.. was my reply and they said they'd call back another time, click!  Even if I did have time, no way any updates happen unless I, the customer, initiate it.
