Just got a call from this number. It's a call from EMC Mortgage welcoming me to their company after my mortgage was sold.  Seemed fine until the caller asked me to verify some info including my Social Security Number!!!  Are they serious? Get real EMC!!

Same thing happened... got a loan w/EMC & now we receive MULTIPLE calls from 866-275-5567.  They ask for our SSN, NO WAY!  I called 800-723-3004 as given above & was told 866-275-5567 is NOT an EMC #... upon further probing them for info as to HOW we get a loan from them & pretty much immediately we start getting these "bogus" calls.  No explanation other than it is NOT a call from them.  I said that there is either something going on that ie very wrong, OR he is mistaken... asked for a supervisor.  She said they have NUMEROUS #'s for their company & that she will take us off their call list & then HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!  I am currently on hold waiting to file a complaint!!!

I was having this problem : 866-275-5567 calling me and not leaving a message; I answered and there was a person there (I heard background noise and typing), but they said nothing and the call dropped after a few seconds.  I looked up EMC's customer service number here :

I called them and spoke with someone who indicated EMC Mortgage Corp. had been trying to contact me; He also verified that 866-275-5567 IS *NOT* a number EMC Mortgage Corp. would call out on.  He said that if someone from EMC Mortgage Corp. calls me the call should come from 800-723-3004; an automated caller may call on a different number but it would be a recorded message, not a live person.

I asked again and he stated that 866-275-5567 IS *NOT* a number EMC Mortgage Corp. would call out on.
