Yeah...not everyone is trying to be underhanded and is a deadbeat.  Nice assumption though.  I'm sure it gets lonely looking down at the rest of us from way up there.  MOST people that are in collections lost their job and cant afford the lifestyle they once could. Oh or hey, maybe they are disabled b/c you know that happens too and not everyone qualifies for a nice SSI check.  Sometimes, other things in life happen like a family member is ill and guess what? They're poor and have to have the debtor take care of them.  So while assumptions and accusations are marvelous things for people who are perfect, not everyone is avoiding paying debts bc they're the lowest of the low.  But I'm sure this response is wasted on someone like you, bc people like you who have never made mistakes and have always done the right thing always would never know about the tribulations of someone poor and in collection.

they left a message saying that they are a collection agency but not naming either agency, the company that I am alleged to owe money to (I owe no money) nor my name. I smell a scam. I'm not calling back as they asked me to do.

Received an automated message to call 866-281-5230 about a debt.
I called the number, a "Red Line Recovery Services".
They asked for Michael A-----.  I informed them there was no one
with that name that ever lived at this address.
The operator (Cynthia?) was cordial, verified my phone number
and said she would remove it from their list.

I have received recorded messages several times over the past 6 to 8 months, demanding that I return the call to 866-281-5230. These calls are an attempt to collect a debt by Redline Recovery Services. Up until this point, I had never heard of this company and I owe no debt. I have several phone numbers that ring into my house. I have called back to this number on each occasion and was told that they have no record of my name, or any of the phone numbers that I have given them. I have asked, and finally demanded, that they search their database and remove the phone number that they are using to call my house. On December 5th, I received a phone call from them at 2:06 PM and another call at 4:08 PM. I was again told (by Norma at ext. 4132) that they have no record of my telephone numbers and that her supervise assures that this matter will be taken care of. Again, on December 14th at 2:56 PM, I received another call. This company is located in Houston, Texas. Can anyone tell me how to go about filing a complaint against this company?

I have the same story as the above people, several messages left about a debt owed.  I don't have any debts owed!!  This is most difinitly a scam!  I called and they said  it was James B_ _ _ _ phone number and they would remove my phone number???  Very uncomfortable feeling!!!  Same name Red Line Recovery Service!

constanly receiving calls from 9am till 9 pm  who are they?  When I called back it sounds like a fax screech

Got a call from 866-281-5230. Actually they have been leaving a recorded message on my phone almost everyday. So I decided to call them back today. The woman was very nice and turns out they were trying to reach someone who must have had my # a decade ago and I occasionally still get calls. But the nice rep said she would take care of it.

This is obnoxious and needs to stop immediately.

Unfortunately, many dead beats have their phone forwarded to some innocent persons number. This is their way of making the collection agency think they have the wrong number. Itis unfortunate that people go through this much effort to defraud banks out of their money.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone! They didn't mention any company name, and I have no debt to collect anyway.

On 03/28/09 starting at 8:a.m.:  Received 1st call with pre-recorded message re: debt collection;  Per Caller I.D., the call originated from (713) 423-1020 and was REDLINE RECOVERY; DID NOT SAY WHO THEY WERE TRYING TO CONTACT.
2nd call, approx. 2 hrs. later: pre-recorded messaged re:debt collection; DID NOT SAY WHO THEY WERE TRYING TO CONTACT; Per Caller I.D., call originated from (832)209-4600 and was NETWOLVES COLLECTION.
3rd call received approximately 2 hrs. later; similar pre-recorded message re: debt collection; Left message on answering machine requesting call back to "A. Munsford" (sp?) at (866)281-5230 between 8am and 9pm, CST; DID NOT SAY WHO THEY WERE TRYING TO CONTACT; Per caller I.D., call originated from telephone # (832)209-4600 and was NETWOLVES COLLECTION.

WE HAVE NO DEBT ISSUES AND NONE OF THE ABOVE CALLERS IDENTIFY WHO THEY WERE TRYING TO CONTACT. ALSO NOTE ALL THREE CALLS, SO FAR, WERE RECEIVED EARLY AND ON THE WEEKEND.

Re:  Previous comments left re: the number (866-281-5230:  Mistakenly identified the #2 and #3 callers as NETWOLVES COLLECTION.  

The correct name is NETWOLVES CORPORATION.

Sorry for any inconvenience - but the rest of the information is completely accurate.

We have the same message as everyone else, they state that it is "imperative"
that we call them, but they fail to provide any details as to whom they are
calling and what debt that they are calling about. We are just deleting those
annoying calls.
