The phone picks up as Ebay but this is the caller I.D. that showed up when I got a call From Peggy Bang who is a merchant risk analyst for PayPal her direct number is 480-862-7366

PayPal only calls if there is something wrong, I have never had them call to say thank you for your business!!

I got a call from it tonight about an hour after I closed a dispute on Ebay, so I would just guess it is really from Ebay... I didn't pick up though because I didn't recognize the number.

This number is NOT spam or hoax. This is an outgoing number from eBay. If any one make a call from an eBay internal phone, this is the number that will show on your caller ID.
Also, I appologize for some eBay employee if they did not handle their phone calls professionally. But again, the caller may be anyone working or staying at eBay. They may not be trained receptionist. Please accept my appologies

It's an ebay number no need to panic.

I just rcvd 2 missed calls from this number and nobody left a message - I don't use ebay or at least have not in a long time. If this is indeed ebay calling, a voice mail would be appreciated.

It's from eBay.  I work at eBay and just tested it by calling my cell phone.  My own desk phone and a phone from a conference room both came to my cell phone as this number.  I was calling from eBay's San Jose campus.

I'm getting calls from this number at work and at home.

I got a call also but on my b-day and it sounded like my exboyfriend b/c he usually calls me every year to tell me happy b-day.  I think people can use this number (dont know how) to call u so u can't call back.

I 2 got da call frm this number and wen i enquired whether she is realy frm ebay...

she said"ok..Its enough"
n banged the phone...

answered call, but it hung up immediately before i even heard anything.

it is from ebay customer support! they left a message about one of my auctions being a policy violation.. those a**holes

This is eBay's outgoing number. I have a friend who calls me from this number but to return the phone call I need to dial a 408 number.

same with me, i got a call from this number after I opened an account with ebay, she then asked me what items i were selling, so I told her im planning to sell pre-owned women's bags and shoes, then she said ok, this is only for confirmation, and wished me luck on my listings. when we hung up, my account in ebay was already blocked...
