Called my place of employment & told my boss I had to call the # cause they have a subponea for me. Said if I don't call the number then the judge will have a bench warrent for me

Yeah they did the same thing to me but i never recieved anything in writing from them and he wanted me to give him a payment over the phone. That is unacceptable. I told him that and he hung up the phone on me and he said he will take legal action. Never heard from them since. Don't worry

Somebody called from a "Blocked ID" number and said to call back to this number with a case number since I am sued and Sheriff tried to reach me. Called back and found out they are looking for another guy who used my address and last name to have done something, the persumed "collector" verified the name/BOD/SSN on his file with me, nothing close except the last name (can be found on phonebook), of course I didn't give out my info. I beleive it's a low-level ID theft case, just call back to clarify and close the case if you owe nothing to nobody.

Called my mothers house and told her that he was a deputy for the sheriff's office and had to serve me a supena. I called this guy back and asked for Deputy Mike Jones, and he start telling me he was going to take me for everything I got for the next ten years. He also started cusing me out until I called him some nasty names then he hung up on me. He repeated to call my mothers house and say he was a different deputy. My mother had to change her number. I called the real sheriff's department and reported this company. The real deputy told me about this web site and told me to tell my story. He also said it was against the law for what this company is doing. The are going as low as saying they are from the sheriff's department. This is over a $500.00 credit card. They need to get a real JOB!

I transcribed the vm they left me yesterday:
"Uh yes, good afternoon, this message is for (name), my name is Michael Jones, I’m with the process serving division here at the county clerk’s office. Unfortunately I’ve been contracted to deliver some court documents to you tomorrow from the hours of 3 to 6 pm. I’m just trying to verify that either yourself or someone over the age of 18 will be home to accept that from the sheriffs dept. Please get in contact with my firm at 866-321-5958, refer to case #xxx-xx. Ms (name) if we don’t hear from you, you will be considered a failure to appear. Good day."
I looked them up, they are Asset Capital Mgt Group and their address is 17671 Irvine Blvd Ste 207, Tustin, CA 92780.
I will be reporting them to the FTC because what they are doing is NOT legal.

I had the exact same message as above today. I called back and left a message for them tocb. I have a nephew who is a sheriff here in OC and I will notlet him bs me.

same message as all the above - they called my ex-wife's house (haven't lived there in 11 years) and scared my daughter - looked them up on the net - and checked this web site won't be calling them back or giving them any info - thanks to all the prevoius posters
