These scammers have been at it for years. I just got a piece of mail with a fake "vehicle notification" claiming my car warranty has expired or about to expired. The number to call in the mail is 866-364-3336. When you call, the name is given as "Car Safe."
Smarter than YOU 2012-03-27 17:23:11 Unknown
I have HAD it with these rude, uneducated, and irritating people. After calls and numerous times demanding I be taken off YOUR list, you continued. The final straw...mail memo addressed to my late husband, with a car that is non existent, with info completely bogus. When I called YOU the response was "Oh we get this all the time". Nice...when your family member dies, and their name comes through years later, I hope your disposition is better than mine.
I have reported you to the BBB , but you already have an "F" , aren't you all proud ? Also, the Attorney General of my state, and of Missouri. Pox on all of your for your inconsideration and lack of scruples.

These phone calls come from a same scammers/ frauds who call themselves "CAR SAFE", "NAVISS", "Royal Plus Coverage", "Dealer Services-N.C.W.C". They try to sell you extended car warranties. Dont make the mistake of answering their calls. They inpersonate your car dealership and even have information like your car make, model, and VIN not to mention the car onwners name and phone number. Please read the fallowing link. I hope i can help at least one person from the headache i went through with this company. ... http://www.ripoffreport.com/tv-advertisements/dealer-services-aka/dealer-services-aka-royal-pro-d47x9.htm

There is no such person in the USA as Jason Stienhoff. There is a Jan in St. Peters, Mo. Real close to carSafe.

They have started the deceptive mailing practise again in Virginia. 2ND attempt time sensitive material enclosed Request for immediate action. They have all your car info except the vin#. Do not deal with these people. Once you call them your number will be in their system and you will get calls at all hours of the day or night. They will burn up the minuets on your cell phone too. Check out what the BBB has to say about them.

7/2011 - These guys are still in business. They first sent me the official looking mailer. I thought it was Audi contacting me and called for a quote. When I wouldn't commit they tried to scare me about how expensive it is to repair an Audi - etc. Called me back a few days later and applied more pressure. What can i do to help put them out of business?

We have had CarSafe on more than one vehicle and they have done great as a company. They do make calls and do mailings though, which is annoying.... but I was referred to them by a friend who used them. Actually a good legit company, but I did my homework first! I found this site for the "who calls me" deal when I couldn't figure out who called from that number. But it was a rep trying to confirm our VIN on the new vehicle we just signed up with.
Gary 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
Lets not paint them all black,... There are a few good ext warrantee comp.'s You will just have to do your homework to find them.
This one appears not to be one of that ilk.

I got ya all beat ; Got the same letter today and I havn't owned a car in 11 years , and that was a 1981 Volvo D L Wagon with 240,000 miles on it when it bit the dust . ( If it says presorted standard mail , it means JUNK Mail . ) . Do Not Reply !
Lee 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
I wouldn't be surprised if this would be considered mail fraud - a federal criminal offense.
Lee 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
JIM, I really think this is a phony post and you are one of the scammers.
tony 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
trust me... it is a scam... I checked with my Mercedes dealership due to them contacting me to exend the warranty on all four of my Mercedes.
consumergal 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
I just got one of their mailers - this phone number was on the card. Definitely a scam. Check the BBB and RipOffReport. Not a really clever scam either.. they sent a 'new car warranty expiring!' notice on a car that's been totaled by insurance and rebuilt. Gave me a giggle.
Dylan 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
These a**es actually labled me as a harrassing phone caller, but yet these inbreads still keep sending me the mailer. What a bunch of scam artist.

called to find out how erroneous info was obtained by company & have corrected -- raylord transferred call to supervisor "eric" on my request. Eric = rude, sarcastic, unhelpful, unprofessional & refused to transfer call to his or another supervisor to obtain info & refused to tell me his supervisor / hiring person / etc / anyone over him in the company. Felt it was ok to speak to client (me) with disregard and disrespect, but then blocked our number from being able to call the company. Will be contacting BBB and state atty general re: company and the rep / "super" "without anyone above him / in charge of him".
JJ 2011-06-06 21:01:37 Unknown
It's a scam. Do not fall for it!!
I already went after Dealer Warrenties aka National Dealer Warranenties, et al in St. Louis and so did the Attorney General. :-) Looks like this scum oufit (carsafe) has stepped in to take their place. No worries, I'll pursue again with BBB and AG.

They claim to be a legitimate warranty company. The representatives answer as DPW (Dealer Preferred Warranty) I actually fell for their scam. I have had my vehicle at a dealership repair shop for over 2 weeks. Their hold up tactics went from needing to verify my service receipts and make sure all my oil changes hafe been done to verifying my mileage on my vehicle. They state there is a descripiency with my mileage at the time of my warranty purchase. Just like I mentioned to them there is no descripiency on the premiums they have taken.

866-364-3336 - Like everyone else, received an official looking letter in the mail today, claiming it was from General Motors.
Came from:
Presorted
Standard Mail
U.S. Postage Paid
St. Louis, MO
Permit No. 1361
On the front, it states:
"REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION - TIME SENSITIVE MATERIAL ENCLOSED - WARNING; $2000 FINE, 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT, OR BOTH FOR ANY PERSON INTERFERING OR OBSTRUCTING WITH DELIVERY OF THIS LETTER. U.S. MAIL TTT.18 U.S. CODE"
Inside it states:
"CALL 866-364-3336 TO EXTEND YOUR VEHICLE'S COVERAGE"
Amazingly, it has NO mention of which PARTICULAR vehicle they are referring to... Morons.
Reporting this to the BBB of St. Louis, MO, as well as to the U.S. Postal Service Fraud Division. Also, the USPS HAS to release the info on who owns Permit No. 1361, if requisitioned in writing and a complaint is filed against said organization, which I WILL be doing.
I HIGHLY suggest that others do EXACTLY the same IMMEDIATELY.
The only way to get a SCAMMER to stop, is to Report them each time.
NEVER just throw Junk/Scam mail away. Research it & Report it.

This mail came from Dealer Preferred, Ft. Lauderdale, FL (US Postage Permit No. 2013). The mail does not have any info on what model car they are writing about. I have 3 cars of similar make. I try to call several times and each time found no answer. So, stupid!! I will never do business with this stupid people.

Received a mailer, presorted, from Permit no 1361, St. Louis MO. All this official looking mumbo-jumbo. It must be a scam, as there is no company name, email address, or real snail mail address any where in the "letter". It only said to call 866-364-3336. What a waste of carbon (those miscreants who own this cheesy outfit)!
