This number is calling me trying to collect on a bill that is not even due yet, and it's not even due for 1 whole month! They have threatened me with if I do not pay them this bill will hit my credit. I do know that nothing will hit your credit unless it is 30 days or  more past due. They want me to give them my credit card or electronic check over the phone DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!! When I ask what company they are with they say they are just contracted thru the company that is trying to collect payment, yeah... I don't think so. Now  just today they started calling my direct line at work!!!??? I called them and had to threaten harassment charges they now have taken my number off of their list (I hope for their sake.) Please take caution if you get a call like this and NEVER give out your info.

I kept getting called by this number.  Finally called back to find it was Telus so I just asked them to put me on a do not contact list.  Try doing that before complaining about it, the ppl are just doing their jobs and have no problem putting you on their do not contact list.  If they keep calling AFTER that.. then yeah it's time to get mad and deal with it from there!

Got this call from this number. I live in Hinton Alberta. they called at 5:31 PM Mar 13, 2008 on my cell phone. Where did theyget this number from? I answered, but no one talked back. There did not appear to be anyone on the other end......Hmmm......

Why can'nt we find out how this # belongs to It is very annoying and costs me minutes is there a way to block it?

This phone number started calling me today too, at 3:26 and 8:37, but i didnt answer cuz i didnt know who it was and it dont feel like paying for nothing...

I got the same call today .I did not answer .I wanted to see who was calling and let my machine pick it up.And yep!NO Message,Well who would this Benefit? How much money does Telus make from *69 when people dial it to see who called? Answer - a dollar a hit so that is how they have a bite on land liners.I will be asking telus to take the *69 charge off my bill and i will also be willing to work with any one who may be interested in a class action against Telus.E-mail me. montee@1netcentral.com

every time you *69 Telus dings you for a dollar.That has land lines covered since most people will *69 to see who called.And if you pay for incoming calls on your cell it is a 100 percent win for Telus since it uses up your minutes.If you want to know just how much money is being raked in by Telus ,go to your favorite search engine and type in the no. 866 377 6334 and you will see many sites like this one and it shows thousands of calls like this
i have posted to another one with the suggestion that we should put together
a class action. who is interested ? I also will be asking Telus to remove the *69 call charge on my bill.E-mail me at montee@1netcentral.com We should also see if one of the news channels here in BC would be interested.It will be interesting to see how fast that number will be be gone and replaced by a new one when Telus catches wind of an organized Reponse.

OK, it's bad enough that Telus's reception SUCKS ROYALLY and that almost half of my calls are dropped or so full of breaking up and static that you waste half of your minutes repeating yourself or having the other person repeat themselves, and it's bad enough that they have started charging us for RECEIVING text messages, but now you are telling me that they are beginning to use up our minutes on telemarketers, too?????  I have already come to hate this company so bad that I will never, EVER sign up with them again and when this cell phone craps out I already plan to switch companies (I can't afford to do so sooner).  But if they start that telemarketing crap, I may just not bother with a cell phone at all until I can afford a new one rather than put up with this poor excuse for a company any more!!!!!

Interesting. I received a call from this number today. No message and I was curious since it's a 1-866 number - thought it might just be a wrong number from an established company, not telemarketing. That's the first one so we will see. They had better not bug me. I'm on Pay & Talk but they keep sending me mail wanting me to go on a plan. These letters say that I would benefit from a plan "based on (your) calling pattern." Well, the funny thing is, I rarely make calls. Seriously, if I do make (or receive) calls, we're on for a mere few minutes. Me and my friends & family mainly text message so I thought the call pattern thing was funny. I have unlimited texting (and they also grandfathered that when they changed it to charge for incoming - I appreciated that.) All I hear about plans, from everybody, is "my bill is never what it is supposed to be and I have to call & fight with them!" I manage very well on P&T - yeah you have to be organized, but you get reminders, and it's just fine for me. Plus there's the no strings attached/number portability if I ever want to leave.

This IS Telus. They idenitfy themselves as Telus and are a telemarket company that is representing Telus to survey customers for service. I asked to be added to the "do not call" list and they said I had to answer the survey in order to qualify for the do not call. They still call every day and I will be taking considerable actions if they don't stop.

Ok, now whoever is calling me from this number is really starting to piss me off.....im about to make like a disgruntled postal worker if they keep calling me.  You always know when to call, dont you?? Catch me when im on the crapper, eating dinner, or having a time out with the wifey.  If its that important, LEAVE A MESSAGE!!!  The first 5 times you called and i didnt answer wasnt enough of a hint??  I dropped 2 other big carriers because of their customer service, and went with Telus because I always thought it was an edge above the rest.  I've tried to call you back at this number to express my feelings regarding your soliciting of my private cell phone at the most innopportune times, but to no avail.  You've found my last nerve now, you're standing directly on it, and I kindly suggest you step off it....do it nicely, or do it nicely crying.

this number calls me two to three times a day, i was surprised how much info i found about it when i googled it. lol.

this number called my cell phone everyday. I picked up a call once. Nobody spoke up.How to block it?

If you are a pre-paid customer is it costing us to receive these phone calls or are they toll-free?

This isn't TELUS calling you. I get SOO many calls about this. Yes when you call it it goes into TELUS, but it's not us!  When we call you there's notes left on the account, and this isn't it. I just had a call about this and there were no campaigns on the account. I don't know why it shows as TELUS. I was told that outbound telemarketers "rent" numbers and when they call the number is always changed, so they can't be traced. I think this is a masked number.

So..if this is true, why is this STILL happening.  Why when my Mom got a call on her cell phone today, did they know her phone numbers (home and cell), her address, mailing address, EVERYTHING?  She thought it was a bit odd when they asked her for her SIN # and she was standing around a ton of people so she didn't hand it out.  The person on the phone claiming to be a telus rep offered the exact deal that I was going to get when I got a new phone and went on a contract rather than sticking with pay and talk.  They knew how much she spends a month on her pay and talk phone, and wanted her on a contract.  So you're telling me that someone not from telus, somehow got her file from your system, and is calling her saying they're from your company and offering her your services...but...it's a fraud?  Seriously?

Someone from this number on Saturday, 15 December 2007 at 9 in the morning. (Vancouver, B.C.).

I get called from this number twice a day.  And they're calling on my cell number... which is terribly expensive for me.  I can't afford to have whoever this is bugging me on my cell... or bugging me at all.  STOP calling me!  When they're calling, my caller ID reads: "Unavailable," and when I check my received calls history, it reads: "Name unknown."

I got a call from that number today, miss it and glad !

I have enough calls from telemarketers at home or empty messages on answering machine but to get them on my cellphone now !!! I feel tracked !  If I needed your services I would call!! Leave me alone!

This is telus telemarketing calls? It calls like once a day and I always miss those calls... Why do we have to pay to get adverstised? I mean were already paying for a cellphone!
Should I call telus services to block this number?

i get calls 4 times a day everyday. im sick of it. i dont care who it is. if its telus they are about to lose my business with them
