They called about 1.20 pm.  My assistant answered the phone and a woman asked for me by name.  I was on speaker phone and said I was having lunch who is calling and she hung up.  The number was on my Caller ID and I called it back.  A recording said they had called me about an exclusive offer from BMO Life Assurance Company.  It is one of those call centres that companies hire to cold call for them, and if someone is interested they are passed to BMO or their name is taken and BMO calls back.  It is cheaper than hiring their own staff.  They work for several companies, so people are getting the names AIG, BMO, etc.  If they are located outside of Canada they do not fall under the ''No Call'' legislation.  Their 'remove from call list' and 'unsubscribe' methods typically do not work.  Wish there was an easy way to stop them.

They keep calling me all day every day. I phoned the number and pressed the option to have my number removed. Hope it works. I am bombarded by these types of numbers calling every day. Don't know what to do

Caller claims to be BMO women's cancer insurance.  Very convincing.  Not positive, but sure seems like a potential scam.  

Calls telling me that she's from BMO. Something about women's cancer insurance or something but she said it so fast and then said goodbye and will call later.

Very suspicious call. We don't have any dealing with BMO to begin with so I am leaning towards scam.

I've gotten called by this number several times - 866-397-8093; It's BMO Insurance. I tried calling it back a few times and asked that my number be removed from their calling list - as other people have said - can take up to 30 days - it's beyond the 30 days and still getting calls. Like other people - I just added them to my block callers list. I wouldn't even bother complaining to them - they aren't going to do anything - you could complain to OSFI - this is the government body that regulates The Financial Services industry - not that they would do anything either but just a suggestion

Just got a call, my sister answered and said I wasn't home.  The caller said it was just a courtesy call from BMO Insurance, nothing urgent.  I don't have anything to do with BMO Insurance!  They asked for me by my married name, the only account I have with that name on it is Rogers so that would be where they got my info.

This number calls every day. I'm pretty sure that this call comes from AIG insurance. I checked on the web and it showed the caller. I have no idea why they call every day but what I perfure for people to do is when they call just answer the phone and then hang up in 3 seconds. It works all the time. Trust me.

They are a companie call Aig security system that they just took over the vigilon sicurity system that I am trying to get rid of .I did not renew my contract .but I am being called by them 3 t0 4 time a day after Ived canceled the direct payment. D'ont get them into your house . unless you relly want asecurety system that its hard to get out of it.

Ive been whit vigilon security system for the last 5 years .I tried to get out of it after my tree years contract Did not renew my contract ,but they where still taking out the direct payment thru my bank "This Year I receaved a letter from aig saying that they took over vigilon & thath they would be happy to continew the same service i had in the past .I didn't want the servive I never renew and I even call them to canceled and stop the direct payment .the person I talk to canceled said  There was no problem and to just sent a letter of cansolation .I did I had never sign any agrement are renew with them now I received call from1866 397 8093 every they

BMO Life Insurance. I get this # calling daily and I am located in Ontario, Canada.

I called  Janet ( 416 596 3900 ) and asked  to be  taken off the calling  list. (This is a BMO  number ) She  has assured me  it will be  done. I have  informed her that  i am recording the message and will use it  in case of any further calls.

this number was given on a text that was computer generated...a phishing scam to get info for bank customers

This number call my home phone many times every day, but I never answer the number that without caller info, and they never leave message.I thing it's SCAM.

I have gotten this call numours times and i was told it was BMO Womens Cancer insurance and the lady that was trying to sell me into it pushed for banking info to get set up. And is relentless and try's the gilt trip (you know you might get cancer some day).
Never give your banking info over the phone or internet UNSAVE.

Someone called my house several times using this number, the law needs to be applied against these companies or individuals keep harassing people at their homes.

It they want to do business advertise on newspapers or TV or websites...

I spoke with my own bank over this BMO  thing an they said that banks do not call asking for credit card numbers to purchase insurance or other services an its likely a scam where the scammer uses a legit spoofed number an provides a recorded message -another flag is most banks provide a voice mail or out sourced call center to handle all inquires not a recorded message to get off a call list.

I finally answered the call today and it was a girl asking for 'Mrs' - My last name. When I indicated she was not here, she then was urgent to get off the phone, so I requested to take a message and she quickly mentioned that 'it was not urgent, it was in regards to a womens program".

I get this # calling every day @ all different times. I don't answer ANY calls w/out their I.D. showing up w/ the # they are calling from. I suspect it is some kind of scam. DON'T call this # back, as they could very well be making money from you returning their call. It is VERY annoying to say the least. If i could, I'd shoot them with a ball of their own sh*t! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

They call me 4-5 times a day but don't leave a message. I called the number back and put my number on their do not call list. Let's see what happens!
