The number 866-398-3474 is actually to High Power Technical Services, a Dish Network installer in Kentucky. I know because I worked there. The scam that people are talking about happened between March - May 2011 when a scam company disguised as a credit union spoofed High Power's phone number. I personally contacted our local FBI branch to report the scam, along with the FDIC. High Power Technical Services is a member of the BBB with an A+ rating (bbb.org). The website is www.hpts.tv. HPTS is not a telemarketing service, either. If you have a scheduled appointment with them, an automated system will call you within the 24-hours prior to your appointment to confirm it. The office is open 7 days a week from 7AM - 10:30PM (EST). If you have any questions, call the 866-398-3474 and follow the prompts to speak with a customer care representative.

Anyone else getting calls from this phone number?

It is actually a number for dish network but internet scammers have been using it for phising for credit card numbers. If you answer do not give any personal details.

Just got a automated call instructing me to put in my 16 digit banking number that it was necessary to reinstate my debit card. Within a few minutes another member of my family had the same call.
