They called again today...claim to be an attorneys office?

After calling me twice in five minutes i called them back, they couldn't find my number in their system and said they would remove my number.  Very confusing.  The woman was very cocky and rude.  According to the BBB, the company is listed as:

This # keeps calling me and the company that they say they are calling for is not in collection. The people on the phone cant give me any info. And by law they have to i you ask for it and as long as you tell them in writing not to call any more and they still do you can scaue them.

Palm Island attempted to pull 1000.00 out of my account today but my bank caught it & stopped it. I do not owe anyone money & I have no idea how they got my bank info.  I have tried calling them but no one answers the phone.  My bank account has now been closed to protect it from these people!  They have never called me about any issue!

I rcvd a call from this number and the name is ron thomas and was told that the company name is palm isles services. I think its ironic that its the same name as to where my old address is located. He is rude and when I called back he receptionsit or who ever the female is just answered the phone "may I help you" I asked for the company name and then I got transfered to ron thomas who is very abrasive and rude. They claim to have a legal matter but never say what. I don't owe any type of over dues. Very strange.

They have called my house 3 times today, first 2 times I didn't answer, the last time I did, no one would answer when I said hello.  They keep it up they will loose their hearing when I get done.

this number keeps calling me. I get anywhere from 2 15 calls a day. Who are these people.I am tired of the calls they are rud people. What can I do to stop them.

I get a call from this number daily. But nobody ever says anything. I've got 3 calls from it today. Now when I answer I immediately hang up. My company is on the DNC list.

866-424-8637 keeps calling cell and no one ever talks when I answer. Most of the time I don't answer.

I've read what ppl have posted about them being debt collectors, but I don't owe anyone and have always paid all bills. I don't even know how they got my cell #.

What should I do since they continue to call but won't even say anything when I answer.  How do I get them to stop annoying me and stop calling me?

I called the # from a private phone, not my cell, and got someone and I explained they kept calling me cell and she wanted to know what the # is and I gave it to her and asked her to quit calling and she kept insisting that I give her my name but I wouldn't and I asked her who they were trying to call but she kept wanting my name and wouldn't give me the person's name they were calling for. She was persistent in wanting my name but I never would give it to her. So she hung up. Very rude! and I don't know if they will quit calling b/c I just called today to try to get them to stop.

They keep calling asking for last four social I would not give, when I ask for who they are and what they do he/and she would not answer. They hang up. When I advised them that they need to speak with my attorney and or accountant they said no and keep's asking for social. They would not tell me anything but that they are a lawyer's firm. Oh, and no matter what you say they will never take you off their do no call list and will keep calling after couple weeks or months! Found out that debt collection company are now creating names with attorney or firm in them and use a lawyer as part owner to threaten people to give without confirmation.

I researched this and found out it is Hosto and Buchan/Midland, a debt collector, well-reported on the Internet for fraudulent practices such as falsifying court documents and making claims against innocent people.  

They called in the morning and left a number on my answering machine to call back. They also left an official sounding "file number" to reference.

I stewed about this for six hours and then decided to call the number after learning that one of their tactics was to falsely file suit against people in court in a distant state, hoping that they would not answer the summons.

Please note that I have a score of over 820 on my credit report and have never missed a bill.  I only owe on a house and a car and ZERO on credit cards.

I called the number they left on the answering machine and talked to a very rude representative.  I gave him my name and address and told him that they had violated the Fair Debt Collection Act by not disclosing their identity as a debt collection agency.  He said that he hadn't violated any laws and "let's not talk about who violated what laws".  I told him that someone from his company had when they left the message for me and I said that he needed to get a new job.  He said that I needed to get a new number.  I asked if he was threatening me.  He said, "Are you threatening me?"  I said no.  He said, "What are you doing then?  I said, I'm trying to find out why you are calling me.  He asked, "Does your social security number have "xx" in the middle.  I said no.  He said.  GOOD BYE and hung up.

US Congressman and Senators and Law Enforcement -- WHY WON'T YOU PROTECT US FROM THESE EVIL PREDATORS?  ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

I received the call at 9:40 am on a Monday. I answered and no one ever said anything. WEIRD!

I received a call from this number yesterday evening.  They asked for me by name.  The rep did not speak very legibly, but stated for the security purposes of the call, she would need to verify the last 4 of my social.  I immediately became wary and advised her I would not do so until she could provide further information.  I asked her what the call was about and she stated it was collections.  I advised her that I was not aware of any accounts in collections and asked who the client was.  She stated it was the "lawyers".  I stated that the lawyers must be representing someone and who might that be.  She would not answer my question and again asked for my social.  I advised I would not release the information.  She asked if my address was a certain address - it not only was not my address, it was not even in the state I reside in.  When I told her this, she hung up.

I always get a call on Saturday morning at 8am. I am NOT the person they are looking for. They say they will delete number but they never do. My attorney told me to answer the call and speak to a rep. Then tell the rep I am recording the call. Ask the rep to state their name and their business. Inform the rep you want your number removed and have the rep say a deffinitive "yes they will." You then say that any future calls will be turned over to your attorney with this recorded conversation. Even if you do not actually record the conversation, it should take care of the problem.

They keep calling my gf phone.

I'm too smart for these types of people, and they really don't want to
get into it with the likes of me. I'll have them shut down quickly. Pays
