Left message on answering machine identifying themselves as Allied Interstate calling about a debt. I have no debts so I guess they're just calling everyone with name similar to who they're looking for in the area hoping to find the right party. Common tactict

Call these scumbags back from a pay phone in the noisiest location available so then when their recording starts it won't disconnect, then put the phone down (don't hang up) and walk away (unless someone is waiting to use the phone).  This will rack up a lot of 800 time on their account and provide a little justice for them interrupting your peace and quiet!
If I live person answers (extremely rare), just say "someone's at my door" and put the phone down.  When they call back, do it again with another excuse.
Don't argue or deny, just waste their time!

I recieved countless calls from this number on days when I wasn't home. Today I just happen to be home and answered the phone. They kept insisting they were looking for someone who I do not know. They were very obstenant, and very pushy. So I did two things to pissed them off. 1) I put myhand over the phone and yeild out the person's name they were asking for, then I got their attention to answer questions. They thought I might know where who ever it was they wanted. I got them to admit who they were and what they wanted. I then told them, there is no person here by that name for the 5th time. Aftger I hung up,, I called them back and asked if the person they were looking for was there. They said no. I then insisted like they did. I started to do to them, what they keep doing to us. It really pissed them off. I said, now you know just how much you have been pissing me off, only you have a 1 866 number I can call from anywhere. So Stop calling my number. They guy apologized and said they would stop. We shall see.  Gene B Central Texas

Calls constantly. really dont know what they want. They would leave a message on the phone saying it was a business matter and nothing else. After about the third time they get the answering machine they hang up on the last ring before the machines pick up. These people are jerks and I think its a whole scam of differnt bogus businesses from trying to collect debts to getting you to take their credit cards.Shame on Them

I am sick of these phone calls, I pay the bill not my brother,who has no money, and previous owed medical bills. It is bothering me and my 83 year old mother
