Just moved and have a home phone # but not even I know the number yet let alone have given it out. These numbers call us multiple times a day. It's quite annoying.

Calls my cellphone daily from 3 or 4 different 8** numbers. I never gave them my private cell number, and refuse to discuss any business on MY phone while I pay for MY minutes! Stupid time wasters.

Set them up as a contact in your phone, then set the ringer from Default to No Ringer.  They call at least 4 times a day!  Do they really think that if I didn't have the money at noon, that I may win the lottery by 2:30???

They keep calling me non-stop. I'm just a freshman in college until last week, I didn't even have a bank account. I still don't have a credit card so this is ridiculous.

I have no idea who they are. They never leave any messages and when i do pick up they always ask for some person i dont know, and i have told them so mutiple times but they still call..how do i get them to stop calling me, they are always waking me up or calling during class, so disruptive...

Barclays also goes by Juniper Bank.  The name changed sometime in 2007.   So, if you owe anything to a cc called Juniper,  Barclays collectors will call you.

constant harassment every day for the past five months. multiple times per day.

The caller ID simply said "private" so I let it ring.  A lady left a message saying they were Barclay's and had an urgent matter regarding my VISA card that needed to be settled before they make a "final decision".  Since I don't have a VISA card from anything resembling Barclays, and they even got my middle initial wrong, this is simply another phony collection scam.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK... DO NOT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THEM... hang up and report them to the do not call list.

the message said it was an urgent matter, I never dealt nor ever had an acount with these people, I don't even know who they are, I returned the call anyway and they wanted my social security number to look up my account, very strange, since I never opened an account, I refused to give them the SS number because it could be someone trying to steal my dentity, very alarming indeed

No, that is not legal.  No agency can contact your employer.  There are also certain hours they are allowed to call and that's it!  Log all your calls and contact your state Attorney General.

Yes, I got a call from them and when I called back they answeredsaying it was Barklays.

Actually recv'd a call from my neighbor that they were looking for the me at 'said' address and my neighbor called me w/this #, an ext. & a name. Never spoke to them personally.
