1-866-463-3857 is the NRA funds campain #.
If you answer they will be asking for donations to fight antigun lawmakers in your state & fed.goverment.

this number keeps calling, and I don't pick it up. .... no messages are left.

Everytime I answer the phone no ever speaks. The line acts like it is dead with no background noise. I just hang up. NRA would have no reason to do this.

This IS the NRA, and they DID ask for money so they can help get rid of any politicians who are "anti-gun".   So yes, the NRA does have a reason to call you.   The reason you are not getting a response when you answer is they are automatically calling multiple lines and the first person to pick up is who they talk to, the rest of you have to wait until they call again down in TX.  

We've asked them many times not to call us but they continue anyway.

This is apparently the NRA.  But today they started calling here at 8:23 in the morning!  We usually ignore any 866 callerid numbers but this morning was so early I answered to see who it was.  How can we get them to stop calling?

CALLS THREE TIMES A DAY...ASKED THEM TO STOP THEY STILL KEEP CALLING..IF THIS IS THE NRA BAD NEWS

We get calls from 866-463-3857 constantly - VERY annoying.  It IS the NRA and yes, my husband is a member, but that doesn't mean we want these people calling our home five times a day.  I have been on their website and sent THREE e-mails asking them to stop the calls, all to no avail.  Tonight I got back on their website and contacted them by phone.  After much button pressing, I did speak with a live person.  After confirming my husband's membership by our address, the gentleman said he would remove our number from their call list and, as I requested, will only contact us by U.S. mail from now on.  Hope this will help others.

I answered, they asked for my husband, when I said he's not available, can I ask who's calling - they hung up on me.
