How do you file a complaint against them?

I believe its a scam to he  asked to bring up the file with my phone number than tried to ask for personal info I didn't tell him nothing not even my name.........I don't believe this to b a true collection agency if they call me again ill b getting a lawyer.

Got a message from these people at my work number which I do not give out for personal communications.  Cited a claim number and that it was urgent.  I do not have any outstanding debts or claims.  This is a scam or I have been mistaken for someone else.

I have been getting the same calls.  The person that they are asking about does not even live here.

There is a person from met credit called my home phone many times looking for a person who has the same first name as my daughter's.at first I think it may be a scam that try to steal some personal information .but after she keeps calling us ,I find the person she is looking has different last name, address and age from my daughter, since my daughter is working abroad 3years after graduated from university, never involved in any financial broblem. I hope these f****ng idlots use their brain to make sure which person they are looking for before making calls. Stop bothering innocent people! Also I don't know how they got our phone number ? Why don't they use my phone number to  find my address and sent us a letter about this ? F****ng idiot !

They called several times with a private caller, then leave a phone number 18664639161,want the person call them back , we 100%sure that no one in my household have a bad credit. We believe it is a scam.

I received a text message from these people in the middle of the night saying it was urgent and to call right away, and included a reference number. It did include a website, metcredit.com. There was a name included as well, but it didn't specify whether that was who they were looking for (not even close to my name) or other person dealing with the account. They used the words 'personal business matter', which didn't make sense as I would think it's either a personal matter or a business matter, not both. Seems sketchy to me.

Who are these RUDE idiots.  They don't listen just talk and leave threatening messages.
I owe money to Bell.....????  What a stressfull bunch of idiots....NO...!

I know this agency would not sue as the amount is small (under $10k) and even if they did, as I filed a joint consumer proposal with my spouse it would be laughed out of the court house as the debt was incurred before the settlement and also outside of statute (2 years in Ontario).  I just don't want the calls.

someone from this number called me and left a file number as well as this phone number to call back on both my phone lines.

ummm...i was doing a test, and my fone started ringin, so i stepped outta class to answer, they told me that i owed them money, i dont know who they are, i dont have a credit card, i live with my dad so i dont have morage to pay or anythin like that, im only 16yrs old, i should have to worriie about some lamos callin me for money.

This number called our household several times during the week leaving messages that they are caling on behalf of CIBC bank are looking for someone named ****** and it was always different Indian / Asian names not even similar to our last name. So, they asked if we have any info about those persons to contact 8664639161 ext. 621.
I surely believe this is scam!

I was working at my desk and I didn't hear my cell phone and noticed the red light flashing so checked my voice mail from a Krystal Astrologal (sp?) from 905-819-8939 or 866-463-9161 x6323 advising it is an important call for my spouse and that she would only be in the office until 1 pm today it being a Friday.  We have separate mobile numbers that we live off of.  I called back as it sounded important and I figured I would give it a call back for sh*ts and giggles as I instantly knew it was a debt collection agency.  

So I rang up her extension and she answered the phone.  I played dumb and thought it was about my resume.  She said no I was asking for *********.  I said no my name is ********** and she said oh well her mother told me that this was her #.  I immediately pounced on that (trigger) and told her I was **********'s spouse and that I was and there was no number for her to be reached at and they were not to call me back and that I would file a complaint with the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services, Consumer Protection Branch; And if they had any intention to sue that they should do so.  She then proceeded to tell me standard industry boiler plate yada yada yada.  Don't care, don't legally owe it.

A collection agency may not:

Contact you if you send a registered letter to the agency saying that you dispute the debt and suggest the matter be taken to court.

Contact your spouse, a member of your family or household, or a relative, neighbour or acquaintance except to obtain your address and telephone number unless the person contacted has guaranteed the debt or you have given permission for the person to be contacted.  

If I get another call Monday, then we file a complaint against them.

Somebody called asking for me from a Metropolitan.  I don't have any debt either.  Haven't got a clue what they're looking for.

It's a Collection Agency.  Metropolitan Credit Adjusters.  They apparently have offices in both Mississauga (Toronto), Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.

Got an automated message leaving a reference number. sounds like a collection agency but i dont owe any debt.
