I have a debt I owe to an apt complex. I know I owe it but the creditor PDM resfuses to take my money orders and want my checking info which of course I refuse to give them. They won't send me papers regarding what they have verbally agreed for me to pay. I'm a little scared after seeing what this company has done to send them anything. The miss att gen office has filed a suit agaiansy then. Shld I send them money?

This company identified themselves as the State of Missouri to my boss and wanted my payroll information, which my boss refused to give out.  When I called the number back I spoke with a women who refused to identify herself and stated that the company was PDM.  She also tried the legal avenue on me and I let her know I am a law student and that she is not permitted to make any statements unless she has legal documentation to back it up.  She became angry and refused my request for a statement from her company or the address of the company

I too have had to deal with these A**holes they get very rude and refuse to give the name of their company they started by calling my wife asking for someone else when my wife informed them that this was not her they insisted that she give them her personal information which she did not do I then called them and got the same kind of treatment. when I asked to speak to the supervisor she ademently refused and told me this was between me and her I proceeded to call her every name in the book until she finally put her supervisor on the phone he informed me that they were 'just doing their job' and that I was harassing them by calling.I threatened to file a complaint with the AG's office and report them to the FTC at which point they hung up.

I am very suspicous! I have received daily calls for last week from this company.  They called my manager and said I yelled at them and hung up on them.  Not true, Jeff Jackson yelled at me and I couldn't get word in at all.  Also yelled at by a Ms. Ross and called by Mr. Brown.  I was told by the various callers I was a "liar" and a "professional debtor" and "trying to stall" when I denied any knowledge of the debt they claimed I owed. They stumbled over the amount.  Mr. Brown said they were recording the call so they could have proof that I dispute owing the debt. I wish I could record their calls, theats, yelling and refusals to give me information. I told them I looked their number up and beleiev they are running a scam. I said I now have a letter ready to send them requesting that they verify this debt if they are indeed a legitimate company. They refused to give me the information on their company.  Each time I have asked for it the caller keeps talking and threatening but will not listen or answer my questions. Mr. Brown said they are not a collection agency so they "will not jump through those hoops" - that they are a "investigation and recovery firm specializing in claims". he said it is a courtesy call only and they have no obligation to call me; they can just proceeed against me. I can find no business or address information on them on the internet, only sites complaining of their abuse.  Since they will give me no information on the firm I cannot send the letter for them to verfiy the debt they say I owe.  They have threatened me with wage garnishment and a stipulated judgement and keep telling me they will handle it through my company's HR department.

they called my cell phone several times with threats it worked one time and I paid them 286.00 now they say the second payment didn't go trough and they want more. Telling me they will go to the local sheriff dept and call my supervisor. Was very rude to my employees and argued with me on the phone. Then said he would give me one more day to pay it. what should I do

They call and said they would garnish my wages for a payday loan from 2 years ago. They said they sent a letter to the CEO of my company demanding garnishment. The receptionist is my friend, and they ask her questions all the time about the company to get personal info, then they tell her to give me a message to call them. They could have been transfered (they know my ext), but they wanted her to tell me obviosuly that they are seeking info about the company, so I will play into the game and believe that they have the right to actually garnish. From what I have read, they don't. From what I was told, write a letter to them advising your work does not except personal calls (and certify with return receipt).
Section 805(b)2. specifically says, "debt collectors may not call third parties under the pretense of gaining information already in his possession." Thus, calling your family, friends, neighbors, employees, employer and so forth, after they already have your phone number, is a serious violation of the FDCPA and should be reported to your State Attorney General immediately.
If your employer objects to collectors calling the workplace, either you or your employer must inform collectors of the "no call policy". This can be verbally or in writing (the FDCPA supports verbal notification). Once informed, any additional calls to your work place violates the FDCPA and opens the collector up to a lawsuit. SUE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

contact an atty who handles collection harrassment cases - there are quite a few now and 99.99% of them take the cases with no fee unless you collect an award or settlement. Our firm has two lawsuits going on right now against these jokers. Both involve their reps calling and claiming to be attorneys and making threats to have our clients arrested, which is against the laws for these things.

Just spoke to a woman, don't know her name she says I never paid back a pay day loan from January 22. I didn't take out a loan then so I dont know what she's talking about.  She says she is going to see me in court although I've never received any court papers stating where or when I need to appear.  I know this is a scam these people call several times a day with these harrassing calls!

stated that I owed on a PDL however, I am using a 3rd party that is helping me with the loan.  PDM told me that those companies get the money they need first and don't tell you that PDL co. didn't accept the proposal.  I talked to my debt consolodation and they were very clear not to give any account info.  These companies are aware that they are not supposed to be calling.  I was told that I can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission

I was told that I needed to pay a past due PDL. But the PDL keeps sending me emails that about the balance and I emailed them back stating that a collection agency was calling for me to pay and they told me that they don't have third party collectors to collect a debt. But the amount they are requesting is the amount the actual PDL company is requesting. What do I do? They keep bugging me at work and calling my house and cell all the time. I already told them that I can't recieve phone calls at work but they keep calling.


HELP! Is this a REAL collection agency or just a scam?

If you had a court date, it would be your local sheriffs job
to deliver the papers to you, you would have plenty of time to
answer, before said court date. Normally thats how Laws work.
To notify you of a court date over the phone sounds illegal
and it sounds like Fraud.

Ok so I have been recieveing calls and voicemails from this number and also this number 816-581-2453 on both my work, cell, and husband's cell number. I finally called them back and I spoke with a lady that said her name was Mrs. Watkins. She told me how I owed them $250.00 and I told her I didn't know why so could she explain to me. She said I had recieved an advance from CMG and it went into default. I kindly told her I knew because I closed my acct because I had paid them over $600.00 for the advance  and they would not back off my acct. I also told her that I recieved an email from CMG stating that they had sent my acct to a debt group called NCA, she then stated NCA hired them so I asked her to tell me what NCA meant and she could not she had to put me on hold for about 10 mins then finally said some crap she probably made up, she asked for my acct info and I asked her to fax me some info and she told me she couldn't so I told her I was not going to give them my acct # cause I didn't know her and she said she would garnish my wages and also add and extra $1100.00 to my debt. LMAO ok lady she asked to speak with my HR dept I told her okay and transferred her my hr dept gave her our corporate #. 2 minutes later I recieved another call from some rude loud mouth trick saying her name was Mrs. Bradford she said she was Mrs. Watkins's supervisor and she was monitoring the call, I told her okay what can I do for you she start talking loud and I politely asked her, are you getting frustrated oh did that piss her off. I told her I gave you guys the information to my corporate office she yelled they were going to get that money one way or the other and then hung up.

just slam the phone in their faces--these creeps would not tell me who they were, what they were calling about but wanted my social also..i slammed the phone right in their ear.

if you owe a debt make arrangement with the payday loan...not these people...they threaten people all day long..dont' speak english and call you a dumb F.....change all the phone numbers and send a money order to them..no accessing my accounts.

i've just had a series of numbers blocked from my home phone..call you phone company and have the phone number blocked its very easy..i also have another number you can call its a free 888 that blocks unwanted calls..i'll be back with the number..

your bet though is the phone company....i was called all kinds of cuss words from some idiot from another country..won't tell me why he's calling, won't tell me his name just that i'm a loser and a biatch.

these idiots call all kinds of numbers..everytime you see a new number you do not recognize..just call the phone company and they will block it..i was getting 17 calls a day from my home phone...

I received the same call and they are harasing my staff esting the number to HR and asking the employees to identify my personal information. What can be done about this to cease this harrassment?????

I got a voicemail at work from these people!! He stated he needed my social security number so he could tell me my day in court.  I'm not giving him my social security number.

Got a call today and they threatened me. They said that I had to pay them or they were going to take legal action. I asked them to send me a statement or explanation of charges and the person on the other end of the call got very agressive and claimed that I had stolen the money from their client. They never identified the name of the company or anything. I have contacted my atty.

They have tracked down my parents phone number...I am in my 30s and have not lived with my parents in years...these people call at work, my cell phone...I called back and hung up on "Mike".  It sounded like a party going on.

Called my cell and left a requewt for me to call back this number.

they said its not a sales call they need a return callback as soon as possible
they call frequently.



why do we the people submitting this claim need to enter the validation code?

They call hear constantly and we get countless voicemails for a name other than ours.  I pick up but it's obviously a recording.  I listened to it in full and called back and told them to no longer call; we haven't had any problems since.

Called me at work and left a message that I had 24 hours to respond or else they would be turning the information over to my HR department. They gave me a claim number to reference. Not sure what this is about. PLEASE HELP!

One thing people need to understand is simply they do not have to have permission to call you when you are in collections depending up the state laws.. Reporting an agency to the attorney general will do nothing because "do not call" lists do not apply to collection agencies. They are not a scam in anyway and they do handle legit legal debts. I found out the hard way..
