Well, It's a year later now, and 866-512-5762 has not gone away.  Received call on 11/14/13.  Since I suspect a scam
with any 866 area code call, it was not answered, and will now be blocked on my phone system.

Seen this number many times, caller ID always reads "unavailable." Finally picked up today, caller said it was the March of Dimes, thanking me for contributing in the past and asked if I would like to give again. Told them I'd given by mail previously, not by phone. Said they were just taking pledges this time, yet still asked for my credit card info a few minutes later. I hung up. P.S.: I have not given to March of Dimes before, other than at collection displays at businesses, definitely not by mail. Leave this number alone.

I imagine this is some scam or surveillance scheme to check on type of human presence at any given time at sampled locations of land line by subscriber demography ... is my guess! Commercial, gov or foreign entity for whatever shady purpose? We're way past Orwell.s 1984!

I get this umber evey week.They will not say whgo they wre, just ask for "Sarah Hall" .My name is Sam Hall, and they are just taking a long shot because of my initial.."S" Hall. Please tell me hgow i can stop them from hjarrassing me constantly

this folks have no idea how bothersome they get calling early mornings  and daily.I live my answering machine on and they won't leave a message....we don't need tellemarketers these days.we have many places to shop for our needs.....they should work at department stores or fastfood places and get real paychecks!!!

I have gotten many calls from this number (as well as from 9 other numbers with the area codes 866, 877 and 888) that began about 6 weeks ago.  I have never answered any of the calls, letting them go to the answering machine but there is NEVER a message left so I have continued to ignore the calls hoping they would give up and stop calling.  No luck on that idea!  I have blocked one of the numbers and plan to block all the others tomorrow.  Right now I am checking on each number to see if I get some clues.

Who is the owner?

Rings and no one answers or leaves a message. There are too many of these calls coming every day, what happened to the no call list?

Same thing here! Calls then hangs up.
