I have received a couple of calls from this number. They leave a message on my voicemail, but the message is truncated--obviously from an automated service. A man's voice says that "due to the sensitive nature of this call, they can't give more specifics" and to call a Mr. Marin or Mariner. He also says this is a call from a debt collector, but I don't buy it.

Same as above - call from a 'debt collector' and they cannot leave a more detailed message d/t the sensitive nature of the call and to call Mr. Marin/Marron (sp?).  Since we have no debt/overdue bills I doubt this is legit.

Called my fax number from 866-469-3328 and asked me to call Mr Marin at 866-529-1885 about a debt collection. All my accounts are up to date or use autopay. There is no reason for a debt collector to call me.

The company's name is National Action Financial Services or NAFS. The person I talked to today said they would remove the name from their calling list. We'll see if it is so. Keep you all posted.

Same call - about 3:00 pm CST, truncated message from a "debt collector" leaving a message with a number to be called.  Since I have no debts, this is obviously an inappropriate use of my number (and time!)

Debt Collector
From National Action Financial Services and Marshall Maxwell in regards to a debt and time sensitive matter; just another number from the same Marshall Maxwell, and he is changing it up so I won't recognize one of his many numbers (866-529-1885; 866-265-5287; or 800-443-2963), and even calls on Sundays as "unavailable".  I have to ignore all these calls, because the phone I received was brand new listed phone number, and I believe someone has given my number out to someone, and I keep getting bogus phone calls, in the middle of the night, etc.  I do not have debt that would warrant these phone calls.  It is very irritating to receive automated cell phone calls which are not supposed to be happening in the first place according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and your rights

Report any problems you have with a debt collector to the office of your state attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission. Many states have their own debt collection laws and your state attorney general can help you determine your rights. In addition, you may contact a local attorney to determine your legal options regarding an alleged FDCPA violation
