Received a call from this number saying that there was litigation pending unless I contacted them within 72 hours. Someone would just so happen to be in my hometown that day. When I called back I asked specific information such as what this matter was in regards to and they would not answer any questions. The only reply I got was "I just answer the phones, that's all I know" Real legit!

I am getting the same calls at my job saying they will be in my area in the next few days and unless I settle "this matter", they will be forced to serve me with the documents of the complaint at my workplace. I have had experience with debt collectors and luckily for us, there have been a lot of new laws in place to protect consumers (us). For one, this is considered a threat and if you actually speak with them and tell them not to call or visit your workplace, THEY can be sued if the harrassment continues.
Bottomline, if it were a valid "complaint", they would have to identify the actual lawyer they represent and you can get that lawyers office address and phone number to have your lawyer (even if you dont have one, let them know there is someone legally representing you...you can always hire one or get government assistance) to contact the law office where the "complaint" has been filed. You will notice if you call back, the answering system only says "legal department" and does not identify the company or "law office" so it's most likely a scam or a debt collector that does not have rights to harrass you like this.
My suggestion would be not to provide them with any information or even confirm your identity, just get the company info and tell them your lawyer will contact them.

yeah i got this same call this morning, asking for my ex about some complaint against her and that they were going to deliver something to her. This is probably another scam.

I have had the same call but they found my mom's number and told her the same thing and then when i called they said that they had to speak with the general manager to get more details. something about a complaint

I got the same call. She claims that she has been trying to find me, in my hometown, to deliver something to me! She keeps saying "I'll see you in a couple of days" but then nothing for like 2 months and then the calls come again. I have no clue what this is for.
