got same letter today, same phone #above.  It is probably the scam where if you call the number it is "off shore"  and will cost you a fortune!

I got the same letter, but mine has the number 866-584-9821 and is post marked out of Augusta, GA. Mine also came in a handwritten plain white envelope with no return address. My thoughts... anytime it is difficult to find a business in general... it is on purpose. If this were a genuine offer they would have so many happy customers they would be posting everywhere.

I just received a second notice from this company by mail. It's hard to match up my address to my name and I NEVER give it out. I'm trying to figure out HOW they got my name and address.

I received same letter postmarked 01 Oct 2008 from Augusta GA.  I have been receiving numerous unidentified calls and the letter states that I won 2 round trip plane tickets worth up to $1,400.00.  sounds like a scam to me.  If I won them then send them to me.  After all, you have my address.

No Call.  But, received letter Dated Oct 3rd,  But sent on Oct. 2nd.  Like most of you I feel it's a scam.  But, I am a Retired Washington DC Detective's Niece.  I am reporting it to the Feds and lets see where it goes. Did any of you check out there web site? Letter was sent in plain white envelope, but sent from Ohio.  Handwritten seems to be female.  Plus on top of it all.  My address is private and protected by the courts.  So, someone has been to busy.

What is this?  Looks like scam, acts like scam.  Letter dated 09/26/08.  No one gives away $1900 for nothing.  Checked WebSite.....Nothing.  What came up were these notations.  Afraid to call number in case they charged to my phone.

Also rec'd. letter, with name & address hand-written by female, with offer of (2) RT airline tickets, and instructions to call 1-866-584-9018.  Am convinced the scam is in the $50 pp  non-refundable deposit req'd.  Am turning this over to detective acquaintance.

I called these people and figured out what it was. This is a company that is attempting to sell timeshares to couples in return for a travel coupon that they issue at the conclusion of the presentation. Presentations are held in the recipient's local areas.

Got a letter today as well. Same scenario as above with handwritten address. I did a timeshare tour in Pigeon Forge back in January with Blue Green resorts. It goes in the shredder in a few...Sorry John Creech. Need a better idea than this.

I got the same letter with the same phone number.  Like the rest of you I was very suspicious.  I went to the Better Business Bureau website and did a search of Colbert & Johnson.  They are a subsidiary of a company called Vacation Network Inc. Vacation Network not only has BBB complaints against them, but has been investigated by Georgia's Office of Consumer Affairs.  From reading the details, it sounds like Vacation Network Inc. was offering vacation packages in exchange for listening to Time Share pitches. However, the promised destination for the "free" vacation was miles away from where the "winners" found out they had reservations.  It looks like all they did was stop operating as Vacation Network, and simply began operating as Colbert & Johnson - still a scam.  If you want to read about yourself - go to centralgeorgia.bbb.org and search for this company. I definitely wouldn't call the number!

Same as above, only the phone number was 866-584-9951 and the VP was named CHARLIE Creech. They claim to have been trying to contact me but have left no phone messages or previous letters.  Sure sounds bogus.

No call, but I got the same letter dated Oct. 14, that is mentioned above, plain white envelope addressed by someone with very poor handwriting, promised 2 RT airline tickets and a gas voucher for $500 if I called in 48 hours. Thank-you Anonymous BhamAL for investigating this scam! Visited website and learned only that CJ is a national comp that oversees redemption of awards from the companies that hire them.  This will go into the recycle bin.

Same here as above except mine is postmarked Oct.7, same address, same offers, same telephone number.  Can't find a website for these losers...so into the trash it goes...I hope whoever said they would contact the feds or the GA BBB has done so.  I will as well.  Can't figure out how they got my name...haven't done any of the following things mentioned above.  In fact, I'm very wary of participating in things like that anyway.

Just filed a BBB complaint with the state of Georgia based on the new company name and phone number.  Doesn't hurt to at least try to draw some attention to their scams.  Hope nobody falls for it.

Received my letter this evening just like all of yours. I am in law enforcement and my advice to all of you is to shred the letter. Thank you to the above individuals who investigated this scam and I hope no one is taken in by it. Remember Will Rogers advice, "There is no such thing as a free lunch", and keep your money safe.
p.s. Mine was from John Creech. Hope Georgia finds and prosecutes this guy if he turns a profit on this scam.
