All of your information has been very helpful! I am experiencing the same types of things. Just today when i returned the call the 3 people I spoke with very very rude and used threats to try and scare me. I asked them for an address to mail the payment and they refused to provide me with the information that was needed to settle the debt. My question is can the debt that I owe be sent to the conpany that I owe instead of going thru this agency?

Bill collector.  The only phone service that i know that can block these is Comcast digital voice.  Dial *60  then listen to the woman press # plus the number then press # again and this number will never call you again.

This caller has called my 85 year old mother's number more than once trying to collect debts that are clearly not hers.

Hung up on me when I inquired and requested that they not call my mother's number again.

I get calls from this number daily.  When I answer, no one is on the line.  I tried calling the number back, and got a recorded message "this number is not in service or is assigned to a different area code."  They are driving me crazy!

This company only calls my Cell phone, Usally in early morning and I only use my phone for emergenacy purposes and very few people call me on this line.
They have called once before and I dont know why if they are really legit or it is a collection agenacy they would at least leave a message on my voice mail, All they did when they got my voice mail is just sit there and say nothing
it sounded like the person was driving or something.
I call them this moring and when they answered I only got hello can I help you and I told her that somebody from that number has been calling my number and I want to know why? And all I got was being told I was a lier and I had no clue what the heck I was talking about and I asked if they could take my name off thier and that I am protected by the National do not call registry and they hung up on my me.
They are very rood and in my view they are so far from legit it is just scary. If they do not stop with this harrassment I will sue in court.
thank You

They call my Comcast Digital voice number almost daily, and often more than once a day. I am hardly ever around during the day to answer these calls, but I see it on the caller ID. It just says "800 Service".

I checked my messages today and had 4 voicemails from this company. Two of them wanted me to call back 1-800-767-9185, and two of them wanted me to call back a "Mr. Walker" at 1-800-735-7952. I knew they were from the same place because they told me to mention a specific reference number, and a name of a lady I have never heard of. I called back the "Mr. Walker" number and it just rang and rang. I called 1-800-767-9185 and a recording said I'd reached "Federal Bonds" but that they were closed and to call back during 'business hours', however they did NOT list what those business hours were! There was an option to leave a message, which I did, saying they need to stop calling me because this lady they are trying to reach does NOT live at my number.

I have been getting calls for this same lady since the day after I got this number from Comcast. I did manage to answer the phone a few times and explain that she did not live here. The calls stopped for a few weeks but have started up again full force.

I DID call Comcast about all the wrong numbers I was getting, and they said to press *60 to block a number. I did just that for the next wrong number, but they are calling again. I guess they are going around the blocking by using different 800 numbers for the same place, or just using "800 service". I'm extremely fed up.

Called me around 5pm and left a message (which repeated 10 times over) asking to call back a Mr. Walker at this number.  They have called me before with a different number and different person to call about 4 months ago.  I called back and they said it was regarding a credit card I never had under a name that wasn't mine, but the social was similar.  I said I had an identity theft in the past and I wasn't going to pay them anything.

They then stated in this call 4 months ago they already had the process started to garnish my wages (I didn't have a job at the time/wasn't getting unemployment) and I just laughed and said, what job.  The guy on the other line didn't know what to say he fumbled with some paperwork and told me to call back at the end of the month.  Seems like this is a pretty sleezy deal if you ask me.  I've dealt with debt collectors before (everyone makes mistakes) and they are usually willing to work with you and send paperwork, these people won't do that.  They buy really old debts and call and harass people who the debts don't belong to.

Now they're calling again, I'm still not employed, don't own a car or a home and I'm not sure where they think they'll get any money from.  I don't even have a checking account.  I'm in school and have nothing.  We'll see what they say the next time they call.
Much appreciate your help!

Thanks everyone for your comments... they're appreciated. I get calls ALL THE FLIPPING TIME!!!!
I wondered who they were, assumed a debt collector.... I still have 2 debts I owe on, but I can't pay on them (and the companies know this) I sent them a certified letter to each stating my unemployment situation.... hmmm apparently they think they can bleed a turnip dry.
I even listed my bills and how much I get from unemployment and clearly showed them... sorry guys, there's nothin' left....whatever I guess, lets just drive her phone nuts!

I'm just waiting for the day they call just a second before 8am or a second after 9pm... I'm gonna get'em...cuz that's illegal, and they do call like 8:57. I'm not answering their call till they do that. LOL
At least I know who's buggin' me now... thanks!!

This number belongs to FBCS, Federal Bond Collection Services, Inc. They appear to be a sleazy collection agency based in Philadelphia that specializes in trying to collect very old debts known as time-barred debts. Time-barred debts are prohibited by law from being collected via any legal means as the statute of limitations to sue the person in their home state has already expired. (5 to 7 years from when first reported delinquent in most states) In lieu of any legitimate means to collect these debts they use a mixture of trickery, intimidation and lies to get people to give over their bank account or credit card information to pay bills from 5, 10 or even 20 years ago.  Unfortunately, lots of people don't understand their rights and give them money. Some of the practices they have been known to engage in that are in direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) include: the use of automated calling systems commonly known as ?robo-calling? to call cell phones, false or deceptive threats of garnishment, arrest, and/or legal action; communication with third parties (EG:Your neighbors or relatives) about your ?debts?; and calls to consumers at their workplace when the employer prohibits such calls.  Additional reported complaints include frequent, harassing, threatening, and abusive calls; inaccurate and/or unauthorized charges/withdrawals from credit cards or bank accounts; and early deposit of postdated checks consumers submitted for debt payment. They will call from a variety of numbers including 866-594-8667, 800-220-2018, 866-594-8651, 866-594-8647 & 866-594-8639, 866-594-8641, 866-594-8670 regardless if you are on the do-not-call list or ask them to stop. Help stop this company?s abusive practices by filing complaints about your experiences with FBCS on donotcall.gov and http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm lets hope the government shuts them down.
