It's an automated message from DirecTV letting you know you're late with your payment.  I get the call from them every month.  I get paid once a month so my payment is always about a week late.  They always call when I'm late on my bill.  It's possible they've outsourced the calls to a call center.  I know I used to work for a company that did surveys about BellSouth's service.  We didn't actually work for BellSouth, but we always introduced ourselves as calling "on behalf of BellSouth"

I used to work in the billing department as a supervisor at Dtv! We DO NOT CALL customers to tell them their bill is past due! So be very careful.....

I actually received a call from this number today. The irony, I was on the phone with DTV last week for 2 hours, attempting to remove a sports package that was not removed when I transitioned from an employee account to a residential account. AND, my bill is up to date and current, I am awaiting on my new bill which I should receive any day now due to the holidays. So, I am not taking this phone number to be DTV, it is not any of the 800 numbers I recognize as a former employee.

Just be really careful........

I think this is Directv. It's funny they never call to check on your service and to see if you are happy with them. They just call when your bill is past due or late. Just forgot to pay my bill (2 days late).

This is NOT...I repeat NOT Directv!! I received many calls from this number and when I called back they were asking me to confirm way too much information (more than Directv normally does). I called the Directv number that I know (the one on my bill) and gave them the 866-617-5115 telephone number and I was told that this isn't any number associated with Directv. The lady also told me that Directv keeps logs of every call FROM and TO their customers...even the calls from their promotional department...and they had NO calls from Directv to my number on file with them since months ago. When I called the (866) number back to confront them the lady who answered the phone was dumbfounded and would no longer say she was from Directv.
Directv. I was also told by the real Directv that an elderly woman received a similar call last week (not sure if it was from the same number) and was told her account was overdue. This poor lady actually made a payment with these people using her debit card..and it was not Directv at all. Be careful people!!!

It is most definitely DirecTV.  I was late on my payment and knew it, but was waiting for payday.  I paid it.  They've stopped calling.  The end.

Wrong. It's DirecTV. I called back, and made arrangements to pay my bill online. The calls have stopped.

This is not Direct Tv its a scam number yesterday it in a text that something was wrong with my Bank of American account. Well I don't have a Bank of American account. Same thing happen to my brothers phone number and my unclear and grandparents. Do not respond or call or text back!!!! They will charge your cell phone.

DirecTV called.  Yep, my bill is late.  It was a recording.  Would rather have them call then go home to a TV shut off.  Thanks for the call!

It's DirectTV.  I am so happy they call when my bill is late!  Nobody else does that anymore.

I have been receiving this daily and it is accompanied by a "meow" and hang-up.  When I dial it back, I get Direct TV.  B-I-Z-Z-A-R-E

The call goes to Direct TV. I called the # back and in the recording it states Direct TV and I am late on my bill.... My bad

Haven't found any information out as of yet of who this 800 number belongs too. I'm sure it's either a collection agency or someone wanting to sell something.
