They claimed to be calling from New York Sports club and were trying to get certain information out of me about a billing issue, and to update my account into...etc.  

I know that I had just called someone at NYSC the week before and got a billing issue strait, so I though it was funny when getting a call about it today and the person claiming there was nothing on file.

I just said I have no information in front of me and I would call them back. Now I got suspecious and check the number they called from on google, and I see this NARS collection agent thing on here.

Collection agents are in violation federal consumer protection laws when they tell lies in order to gain information or

They always call me and no one answers.... Any one know who this is?

new york sports club but talking nonsense. So I am ignoring and rejecting this call. But religiously this number keeps ringing me everyday. So annoying. Can this number just be cut off somewhere if this telephone number keeps harassing people?

i got a few calls from them in a 3 hour period no one leave a message this needs to stop.

I keep receiving calls from this number even after completing opt out process multiple times. Very disturbing as I receive calls at all hours of the day and night.

These people keep calling me (2 or 3 times a day) and identifying themselves as Boston Sports Club.  The person tells me that they are having trouble with my billing information.  I declined talking to them about it and said I would check with Boston Sports Club and according to them there is no problem with my billing information.

Well they were smart enough not to leave me a message, I just changed my phone number and obviously it was a man who didn't pay his bills.  Joke is, this woman has never even paid a dime in interest, so, they heard the difference since I let their call go to voicemail.  I suggest you don't answer.  Eventually even stupid people get tired!

Multiple calls a day no message

I have a gym membership on hold, which is $15 a month. I lost my job, like the rest of America, and put my credit card on a payment plan. It cannot be charged to anymore. So a robot from this number calls me at least 6 times a day (which must cost them more than $15 a month) and never pulls me through to a real person to explain the situation. I also tried to put the number directly to voice mail, but it doesn't work for some reason. I don't know how they can get through my phone set up, but they do. I guess I can go on "do not call" but I'm fairly certain that they can't do anything since I do owe the gym.

my parents keep getting phone calls for me from this nars group and i havent lived with my parents for over 20 yrs now i check my credit report and nothing there said there was a 1,100.00 dept that had to be paid and wanted info they didnt get it called the police and they called this number and the people on the other end hung up on the police what can i do to make this stop

Keep calling 3-4 times a day.  I tell them to remove me from list, but is not helping.

I have been receiving calls to my home/cell since mid Jan. '09. Today is Feb., 4 '09.  They call my cell then home phone, 4 times a day! I answer my phone and am put on hold stating an important message awaits, then after several minutes, recording states no one is available. I call them back and finally get a rep asking to confirm my credit card number as my membership needs to be updated with the Gym.  I tell them NO, there is no information to udate and remove me from their database! They stop calling my cell but continue to call my home.  I call again today and speak to a woman who refused to give me her name, and said have a nice day.  I advised her not to hang up on me as the call was being recorded and I was putting her on notice.  She advised I will continue to receive calls until I give them my credit card information. I asked for a manager and was told her supervisor was in a board meeting! Finally after advising her of the law being broken and harassing me, she put me on the phone with a manager named "Tanecia" she advised my phone number would be removed.  I can't believe Town Sports contracts with this sort of business to harass their members.  My account has been debited for four years now! No billing issue.  Same CC info as well for six years!  I'm disgusted!

Got a first call from them today claiming to be from some sports club thing.  Told me to hold on for an operator and then hung up on me.  Reading this and other posting forums I am wondering how many calls I'll end up getting.

Keep getting a call from NARS. First 4 weeks I just ignored the 2 calls a day. In the last 3 days they have been calling 3 times a day, leaving a message for my son who never lived with me or had my telephone #. Last 2 times I answered them they asked for Dustin I said he doesn't live here. They asked for his number, I asked in regards to what, and they hung up both times.

We've been receiving calls from this NARS collection outfit for about 4 weeks now. Tried the call back number (866-634-8214) with success. Called their corporate number and was told I would be removed from the list. Well, after receiving 3 additional calls I'm taking it up a notch. Reported to the State AG and a demand letter from my attorney to cease the harassment. BTW...the person they are trying to speak with is unknown to members of this household.

Keep getting calls from this number asking me to call back 866-634-8214.  I called them ask ask them to take me off their list because my phone number shows a different address an they are cross referencing my number to the address.  Did no good.  They still keep calling me and leaving messages.  I'm going to keep reporting them on a daily basis since I'm on the no call list.

The caller ID showed a 610 area code.  They left voice mail to call 866-634-8214.  I called that number and could not get through, so I googled it and a link led me to NARS webpage at http://www.narsnet.com/Home.aspx.  I called the number at the bottom of the page which was 800-732-6877.  

It is a collection agency and they were looking for someone who used to have my number.  GRRRR
