received a call stating i was overdue on my citi card, which im not, and she added letters to my last name so i knew she was a phony- no noise in the background either, she said her name was debbie- nice try debbie

Just got a call from this number. Said it was Citi and to put in our zip code. Tried to put in zip code (and of course had the right #) but the automated system wouldn't "take." So I was transferred to "next agent." Only after holding 15 minutes and with music and recorded messages, it eventually said "sorry, we are having internal system problems. Please try your call again later." So I have no idea if it was real or not. We are current on our account. However, we did make a large purchase yesterday that I thought they might be calling to confirm since it was out of the norm for us.

We keep getting calls from "Citi Bank" about our account.
We no longer have any open accounts with Citi.

The caller ID says this number is "CITI" and the recording suggests logging in to "CITICards" or calling the number back. Instead, I called the CITI number on the back of my credit card, and they told me that CITI was not reaching out to contact me as my balance was zero and had been for a year...
Wanting the calls to stop, I called the 866-658-8513 number once and the person (female) in the recordings and the person who later spoke seemed to have the same voice. I hung up.
I called back again and waited between the female voice saying thank you for waiting and short bursts of music; then I heard a recorded message with a male voice that said "you have reached an internal test number"

First off I'm current on my credit card. Second off why would Citi need my zip code, they send me a bill monthly by mail and it gets to me.
So it's either spam. Scam or poor business practices.
