I was calling 866-672-1064 all day and only getting the answering service. I finally called 866-341-3647 and got to talk to two people: Lori Castle and Roger Thomas. Lori put me on hold because I wouldn't quit asking questions, so I called back and got Roger. My suggestion is to call the latter number because the 1064 number is obviously swamped with other disgruntled "customers". I asked Roger what kind of calls he fielded and he said that they were not people that were angry about money being taken from their account.
I don't believe him, but....today is the 18th business day after I called initially. Still no refund, but I do have names to submit to the Atty. General's office.

I also have been scammed. Does any one know what the $49.95 is for?

I am having the same issue with lifeline @ 1-866-672-1064. I been waiting for a call for a least a month. I spoke to someone named Lori Castle and another person named Wayne. I have a cancellation# and I thought everthing was all set.

Beware because I also had another $49.95 taken out of my checking account from a company called safeline #866-341-3647.

These scam artist are stealing 39.95 a month out of mother-in-laws checking account. She is 81 with alzheimers and lives on social security., This is sad. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She does not talk on phone and has not had a phone in over 6 months. I do not know how they are pulling this off.

My bank account has been debited 3 times for $49.95 each time!  I call the 866-672-1064 and 866-341-3647 and get Roger Thomas every time.  I have been trying to get my money back since April 9, 2008.  I have a cancellation number, but no money in my account!!!

Finally today April 21 after many phone calls and getting hung up on by Lori Castle...I received my refund from Lifeline. They made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking acct. on March 18th. I have been calling daily since then.
I have closed that checking account effective today and will have to open another one. It was a real problem.

Well I had a charge on my acct as well from this lifeline company and I did have a bit of trouble getting someone on the phone so I left a message. I was called back 2 days later and I told them I wanted my money put back in my banking acct because I did not authorize this and I didn't order any magazines. They told me it would take 7 - 10 business days and I got it in 15 of their business days so I have to say I was happy with the over all service I received from this company.

This is the second withdrawal from my bank account in two months.  I have filed a dispute with the bank and a claim with the authorities.  I also tried to call and got voice mail each time.  I left a message stating the actions taken and requesting a refund.  We'll see what happens.  My advice is everyone keep a close eye on every withdrawal from your checking account.

I spoke to someone from Lifeline CO and they do indeed offer Magazine programs after i made a pre order back in JAN 08 i received my MAgazines in FEB without any problems. If u are contacted by any company make sure u know what u are ordering first. My travel pkg that i ordered i wasn't satisfied with called them right away and received my refund within 10 days. From what i've delt with no one has given me any problems from this company and i was happy with the service i received

I haven't received any phone calls from this number yet although, i was checking my checking account balance and noticed an unauthorized transaction that went through on March 7th in thee amount of $49.95. The company it was from was called LIFELINE and the number that was on the transaction is 866-672-1064. After contacting my bank they told me to call the number, i did. When you call it says they're closed and if you'de like to leave a message press 2. After you press 2 the language becomes spanish or french or something other then english. Then it comes back in english and says to enter the number of the person your trying to reach or if you have a voice mail on the line to enter it. Then i entered the number (8666721064) again and it says "i'm sorry 4 isn't an option". This is a scam and I recommend anyone else who has seem a simular transaction on their bank statement to contact ur bank and contact the county authorities immediatly before they take more people's money ellegally. Dont wait stop them know. U earned that money dont just give it away.

I FINALLY RECEIVED MY REFUND TODAY!  On 04/04/08 I told them that I had filed a complaint with my states Attorney General's Office, Nevada's Attorney General's Office (The state that lifeline is based in) and also New York's Attorney General's Office (Were the customer service group is based out of.  I advised them that on 04/07/08 if I did not have my refund, my attorney would be making a call.  Something finally worked as I received my refund!

My checking acct was charged $49.95 from SAFELN-8663413647. I have no idea who this is. But, it over-drafted my account by $24, so now I have to pay a $30 FEE! Last month I had a problem with Raven Media who did this and I reported them, and was refunded. However, 2 days ago I received a call from from Raven Media trying to sell me something. I said No Thank You and hung up. Now this charge is on my acct. I'm convinced they are connected!

I had a charge for $49.95 on my account from Safeline.  I called the number the guy was very ugly on the phone and promised I would get a credit by Friday.  I am canceling my account and also disputing this charge with my bank.  The number I had to call was 866-341-3647.  I never subscribed to any magazines and I hope the authorities find the people at this company and give them all jail time.

I am still waiting on my refund.  When I called on 03/24 I was told that I should have received my refund.  I called back on 3/25 and 3/26. On the 26th I was told by "Wayne" that there was a problem getting the refund in my account so he would mail me a check to go out on the 27th.  I called Lifeline back on 3/31 stating I had not received any check and was told that it was mailed.  I went home on 3/31 and retrieved my mail and still no check.  I called Lifeline again and advised them that I had not received it and they said that they did not mail a check rather they did an ACH deposit into my account.  I asked for "Lifelines" telephone number and they stated that they do not have a telephone number for them they just send the company emails.  I asked for the email address and they refused to give it to me.  They did however give me Lifelines address.  After some investigation I found out that the address is to a PO Box.   I am now being told that my refund will be deposited on 04-03-08.  Again, I am not holding my breath. I have contacted my states Attorney Generals Office and Nevada's Attorney Generals Office.

Noticed a withdrawal of $49.85 on 2/28/08. With the workd LifeLN and the phone number 866-672-1064. Was told this was the Call Center for Lifeline/ Faithline and that I had signed up for magazines. I told me I had not and they were not authorized to take this payment and I wanted my money back. I was given a cancellation number.Called 2/29 because I had a check bounce because of them taking my money and I wanted them to pay the $25 charge on top of refunding my $49.95. I have called numerous times, 3/11,3/18/3/24,3/28. I am still waiting for my refund. I asked what the website was that I susposedly signed up for this at but they said they couldn't specially tell me. I have not received call from them but they have received many from me and will continue to get them from me until I have my money back.

According to the customer service agent, I should have received my refund today (March 21).  I checked my account and there is no refund.  I called 866-672-1064 to check on the status of my refund (again) and they are closed today and will resume normal business hours on Monday.  You would think the customer service agent I spoke to on Wed could have advised me that they would be closed.  Now I have to wait until Monday for another excuse from them.

I have had 2 transactions for $39.95 deducted from my checking account linked to this number, and to another 866-341-3647 under Safeline....I will be contacting the authorities today....

There was a withdraw from my savigns account on Feb 28, 2008 in the amount of 49.95.  The withdraw was from "Lifeline" with a telephone number of 866-672-1064.  I immediately called the number and was told that it was for "magazines".  I have never ordered any magazines and advised the customer service agent that this was unauthorized.  He placed me on hold and for a few minutes and when he returned he gave me a cancellation number.  He advised me that it would take 10-15 business days to receive this refund.  According to my calculations today is the 15th day and still no refund.  I called the 866 number again and spoke to another customer service agent.  She checked and advised me that today is only day 13, they did not submit my refund until the 29th, and it did not go to their accounting dept until March 3rd.  Therefore, they are still within their 10-15 day time frame.  When I asked her what type of company she worked for she said that they were a "Customer Service Organization" when I asked for what, she said, "magazines" I asked her where they were located and she said, "Las Vegas, NV"  She seemed very hesitant to answer my questions.  I guess I will wait to see if my 49.95 has been refunded back to me on Friday.  (Not holding my breath)

This is the same company that also uses the number (866) 672-1064.  A coworker of mine recently had $49.95 withdrawn from her bank account.  She never authorized these charges and found that this seems to be an illegal withdrawal of funds.  The company called itself "Lifeline."  She is not sure how they get her bank infomation, but the police and her bank are conducting investigations.  Hopefully, these people will get caught and arrested.  They apparently tried to charge $5,000 dollars to my coworkers account after the $49.95 amount cleared.  Thank goodness, she caught the first charge in time to put a freeze on all of her accounts.

I haven't received a phone call from this number however there was a transaction on 2/12/08 in the amount of $49.95. I called my bank to see who the charge was from and all they gave me was the same number that was listed on my bank account page 866-672-1064. I told them this was not authorized and they told me to contact the number. I called and spoke with a representative. All I did was ask them what the charge was for, the guy placed me on hold for several minutes, came back and said he will credit it back to my account without even asking me anything. I asked him can he atleast tell me what it was for. The rep stated it was for magazines. I told him that I had not ordered magazines nor have I received any. I do not order magazines online. He then gave me a confirmation number "in case there is a problem." I took the confimation number down and waited a couple weeks for it to show up. No credit has been placed on my account yet. I tried contacting the number again and cannot get through. I ended up calling my bank again today and they are doing the whole investigation for the charge. So we will see how that goes. I agree fully with the person who posted previous about this company.
