No call but a letter directing me to this phone number previously listed as another number and company called Vacation Network.  THIS IS A SCAM!  Please search the Georgia BBB for either Colbert & Johnson or Vacation.

Received a letter with this number stating I had won 2 RT airline tickets AND $500 gas voucher. Same deal as others but a different phone number. I have read it is a promo for timeshares and/or vacations from Colbert & Johnson, all in all a marketing scam. It is a hand written envelope with no other info but the phone number in the letter. I lined my bird cage with it.

I received the same letter as well.  Obviously a scam judging by the other comments.  My envelope was handwritten as well.

Recieved this letter today and it stated that *they* had tried to contact me several times and THIS was my lAST chance.  What a bogus story and oh yes,    my confirmation # is 2499!   Envelope was hand written and very poorly done as well.   I did go to the website  ~  total cheese, a ONE pager!  I do hope all other others who receive this note are not enticed to call this bogus scam.

Did not get a call initially - I got the letter. I called / I checked out Vacation Network / researched all the BBB info.... here's my take: Colbert & Johnson may or may not be real, but regardless, it is only a medium to get to you from a company named Vacation Network, Inc out of Evans GA. - who is at the other end of the telephone when you call. This is probably not a total scam, at least not on the front end, but the letter is deceptive. It is an advertisement more so than a notification that you've won something - you were "selected" to receive it only because you have a valid mailing address. If you call, you are asked to agree to sit through about a 1 hour sales pitch on vacation/travel/timeshare offerings... in return, you will get 2 RT air tickets and a gas voucher. On the airfare - plan on pretty heavy restrictions on their use. On the gas voucher (mine was for $500) - to use it you have to buy the gas yourself and submit receipts for a refund. For every $100 you submit, they give you $25 back (no idea how long this takes to process). IOW, you will have to spend $2000 on gas in order to claim all $500 of the voucher. If you buy something (a travel package/timeshare)as a result of the 1 hour sales pitch, there appears to be a greater likelihood of not getting what you thought you'd get. While the company has a number of complaints filed against it with the BBB in all categories, they have moved to resolve about 65% of them. About 25% remain unresolved and the balance were closed without an amicable resolution. This may not be a scam, but unless you are in dire straights for airfare and/or are willing to spend $2000 in order to get back $500 on gas, this is at best a likely waste of time.
