I received one as well. same number and blocked phone number. Scam.

Well I got a call from investigator carson but it was a blocked call
was supposedly trying to contact me for some collections from a company I had never heard of. i get these calls every 3 months or so and they are scams trying to get information from you and in some cases money. they will threaten you saying there is a judgement against you or charges being filed against you which is what she tried telling me and then she couldn't even answer my questions for more information and she could not even pronounce where she was properly as she was saying she was a private investigator in my county in Washington state and i got a good laugh when she came up with a address i have never lived at ever. she was fishing for information for a scam and she did not like me laughing at her or calling her out and hung up on me.  do not do business with these terrorists even if they sound American they are out to steal your money, your personal information and even in some cases they may have the last 4 digits of your social security number.  Also look up your consumer laws they state that anyone who contacts you by phone like this has 5 business days to prove that this is a valid debt or whatever. I have been getting these calls since 2008. contact the FTC and get as much information as you can but usually they won't give you anything.  do not ever do business over the phone unless it is a actual legit thing you know and even then when they call you, you have the right to request more info from them and make sure they are legit. I even had a scammer use a old bill that was on my credit report and i thought it was legit they scammed me out of double of what i had to pay. that co has been fined but I never got my 220 bucks back they were not authorized to take from my account.   when I get these calls, i talk crap, give no iinformation, state my consumer rights and throw it back at them they usually get mad and hang up and oh nothing ever happens no judgements come, no cops show up on my door step and nothing new shows up on my credit report and I have never been sued for a account.  So consumer laws, Federal Trade Commission and knowing your credit report are your friends protect yourself and your information

Yes, I keep getting the same call from a Marie Carson - same number but a different (4 digit) extension. She is looking for a previous roommate that owes money/payments on his truck (among other things...). They are an investigation firm that does search and surveillance for debt collection. Sorry, can't remember the name of the company she said she works for.

I have also received a call from "Investigator" Marie Carson.  I Googled the website which looked like it was a company that located long lost friends/family, cheating spouses, etc.   I tried to find it with the BBB but there was not any information on them.  Needless to say I will not be getting in contact with her.
