I just got a call today from these people.I am blocking them

They always leave a recorded message about "this is not a solicitation call and please hold and someone will be with me shortly". Funny how none of the message is lost during the greeting from the answer machine and yet they are too stupid to realize it's an answer machine they are getting and play the recording like someone is there to wait.

I'm sure they didn't calling asking to speak to *insert name of company here*, either. Did they? They surely didn't call and ask to speak to "wendy's fast food" because the fast food restaraunt didn't get medical treatment. Someone that works/ed there? yes. So they would call and ask for that specific person.

So who did they ask for? You? Then they weren't looking for "your company". Conversely, your company doesn't owe any medical bills.


They are legitimate. Our local hospital uses them. They are a Level 5 trauma center and the best hosital in NW LA. It's LSU Med Center.

You are an idiot calling other people like that without knowing the facts. This company have been calling many people who have NOTHING to do with MEDCORE, and any medical bill from them. So, before  treating people like idiots, please be more informed.

Has been calling me since July 5, 2011, now Sept 28, 2011. Total of 24 phone calls.  Actually, I've been getting calls from them in spurts of a few months at a time with a small break since sometime in 2006 or 2007.  When I answer the phone I get no one, but when I don't answer get a message to return their call.  This is actually a company that has a contract with Medical Related Companys to try and collect a debt.  They get paid if they collect the debt, but also based off the number of attempts that they can document, so they are making money just by calling.  They don't want you to pay, because then they will get a single lump payment.  They prefer to keep getting the tiny payment over a long period of time.  If the companies that use them really knew how they were doing things, they would fire them immediately.

Med corp calls me.  I am connected to a recording after pushing several buttons and being told I would talk to a representative.  I am asked by said recording to put in my phone number so I did.  The recording then tells me they have no record of my phone number!!! (Keep in mind they called me!)  I am then told I will be connected to a person, but when the phone rings I find I am in someone's voicemail and have to leave THEM a message!  How screwed up is this???

I had a call from this number come in today and actually talked with some female who sounded like she was from the other side of the world. She tried about a dozen times to get me to say who I was, (she had called asking for someone) and when I refused to tell her my name, she then asked what my dob was. I told her I was not giving out personal info on myself or anyone else, even if I knew them, over the phone. She tried this about a dozen times and then asked for my mailing address. I told her at least a dozen times I do NOT give out personal info, (HHHMMM wonder when they will get the idea that you can't get anything from me, lol). She then got snotty with me and said she would mail a letter to me, I asked who she was mailing the letter to and she said she couldn't give me the name or address, LOL. I had to laugh at her. She never would tell me anything but she was with this company. I told her, "See ... it isn't fun when no one gives you info, is it?" She didn't like that too much. She again asked for the same name as the first time, I told her I didn't know them, but was glad she had decided to let me know who she was looking for. She then got smart aleck and started to get mad and I hung up on her laughing.

I have been out of work now for more than a year.  Being in ministry, I am not eligible for unemployment insurance.  I wrote the hospital, submitted all the paperwork they requested.  They turned down my request for financial assistance and turned me over to this collection agency.  Nice people, huh?  The hospital was paid tens of thousands of dollars already from my health insurance.  I owe another 3K that was the deductible amount.  I have barely enough income with my wife to make rent and pay utilities - any idiot could see that from my bank statements, which I submitted.  Tell me what's wrong with this country??  Try greed.  Banks raise fees, doctors raise fees, lawyers raise fees.  Why?  So they can drive their sports cars and luxury vehicles while screwing the rest of us.  When will "we the people" finally say we've had enough of this?  This system needs an enema.

The thing about having your number changed is that it's likely been used by someone before you. We changed our home phone to an unlisted number once due to getting a lot of solicitation calls. But the number had apparently belonged to some lady before we got it, because for the first month or so after we got it we got calls from different people looking for her.

If the person who had this number before you had debt that could explain some of the calls. It doesn't explain why we are getting calls though because all of our medical bills are paid.

MedCore, Debt collection company. Medical Bills.

i just got this call from this number, it sounded like an elderly woman who was prerecorded. They said this is MedCore trying to help me pay off my debts but I am 13 years old surely i have no debts. Then they told me that I need to call them back. I just got my number changed a few days ago and I have no idea why they are calling me.

Some of us pay our bills, sir.  My husband and I were told we would owe nothing on this bill, then we get a call from med corp.  So we called the place we owed money to, and they have no record of us. Those who "neglect" to pay bills are not necessarily idiots.  There are often extenuating circumstances.

This is Ms George, left several messages and no response, call 866-716-2588 or press 1. Pressed 1 got disconnected. This is a work number don't know why they are calling me. Thank you

I have been receiving phone calls from this number as well. I am not in debt of any kind and have not been treated or even been to the doctor in the last 9 months! I have a hard time thinking they are a legit company. Someone must have used my phone number, but never the less it is frustrating to me!

IT IS FROM A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY. YOU OWE A MEDICAL BILL.

I just got a call on my cell from this outfit at this 866-716-2588 number.  I have written down the contact info I found on another site:

I get off work in about 45 minutes.  When I get home, I will sit down and prepare a threatening cease and desist letter to these jerks - yeah - threatening them with legal action if they do not quit calling me once I receive the green card back from the certified letter so that I know they have received my letter demanding that they stop trying to contact me.  I live in an apartment building with a bunch of attorneys and law students - one of them will surely be willing to write a letter to this MedCore, Inc. on my behalf if I need them too.  

I have changed my cell number a couple of times due to unknowns calling that would not stop.  If I change it again, I will explicitly tell my doctors' offices that they do not have my permission to share my cell phone number with anyone - period - end of statement.  I trusted them with it and it has gotten into the University Medical Center's central database.  I will explicitly tell them that they are not to enter my cell number in the UMC Central database.  

Or, I may set up a voice mail only type number to give out to my doctors and others who would put my phone number in a central database.  Hmmm....

I have gotten several calls from this number and I wonder if a legit company would not tell you who they are, even if they are a collection agency.  I have checked and checked and do not have any unpaid debts.  So why are you calling me!
