Well this company continues to call my 15 year old cell phone about 3 times a day for months and months now. I have filed so many complaints but have gotten no where. I guess they are a debt collector looking for the person that use to have the phone number before my son. Nice to know that people can harass you like this and nothing is done about it.

Interesting.  I now live on the west coast, but still have my east coast number.  They called me at 8:24 pm, which would be 10:24 pm if I was still living there, which I believe is against federal law according to the federal debt-collection laws (but I don't know that for sure).  The real kicker is that I think they are trying to get ahold of a person with the same number, but a different area code as I have gotten numerous calls for one person who has the 717 area code instead of my 814 AC.  I had to get the police involved to get those people to stop calling me.  If they keep trying to call me at these weird hours, I just might own me a little collection agency!!
P.S.. the number asks to call back at 877-865-4699.  I confirm it is National Asset paralegal, but I did not quite get the name.

They called the other day and my spouse answered and they were adimant about speaking to me,  Well i got the call and answered it today, and no one was on the phone so i called them back, and well got  a high volume of call speel, finally one of their very thick accented people answered the phone,  then they hung up on me, I then called back , this time the gentleman knew who i was. Asked if I was looking to buy a new or used vehicle.  I said no then he hung up.
Definately says scam to me.

This number calls my 15 year old deaf son's cell phone. I have tried to get them to stop calling by contacting the FCC and my local attorney general's office....but no luck. They just keep on calling. I have filed about two reports already, I guess I will keep trying.

I got a call from this number as well. But any number I do not recognize takes a trip to my voicemail first where I list what I require for me to callback: name, phone #, and reason you are calling. These guys never leave a message so they can keep going to my voicemail. Any number I don't recogize gets Googled first if there is no voicemail message.

Thanks to all for your comments. The message on my machine gave only the 866 number, and I decided to Google it to see what I could learn. I had a heap of medical bills, most forgiven, but the surgeon has been merciless.

REPORT ALL CALLS TO REC'D ON CELL PHONES TO: FCC.GOV
It's still against the law!

I recieved a phone call from this number on my CELL PHONE!  "Lawrence" introduced himself as calling from National Reference Management (a debt collection agency).  He said he was calling in an effort to collect on my credit card debt of $1518.63.  When I asked him to what company do I owe this money, he said that his computer was down and did not have access to that information.  DWEEB!!  He had the total I owed, but no supporting information infront of him.  BTW I don't own a credit card AND I just bought a house, so I know exactly what is on my credit.  I know I don't owe anyone that amount of money.

REPORT ALL CALLS TO: FCC.GOV

I even sent a report to the FBI.

They have called me for about 1 month..calling asking for my 3 year old daughter...I have continued to tell them they can't speak to my daughter because she only 3.  They would hang up.  Finally one of the "BILL" ask to speak to the parent of her... He stated that I owed a billed to a  Doctor that she had seen and it I did owe the bill, but I wanted a bill on their letter head stating that trully company before I just handed my money over.  Now I know it was very small bill but it just killed me how much they called for less than $20.00.  I told me they either send me or bill or I would refused to send them any money...they told me I they couldn't do that so I told them I wouldn't be paying the money and to stop calling me I would pay it directly to the doctor's office. Which I did.  The next day someone else called and I told him to go back to his country and LEARN ENGLISH OR BETTER YET IF YOU ARE IN YOUR COUNTRY GO BACK TO CLASS AND LEARN HOW TO READ AND SPEAK ENGLISH AND GIVE YOUR REAL NAME BECAUSE I AND EVERYONE ELSE YOU CALL KNOWS YOUR NAME IS NOT "JIM", and then I hung up...they called this morning and after asking for my daughter again I told them they couldn't talk to her they hung up I called back and the guy answered knew who I was and I told him not to call me again that the bill was paid directly to the doctor and I was reporting him to the Fair Debt Collection Act people..he stated he was taking my number of "THE LIST".  THANKS "ALEX"

Don't ever talk to these people, EVER.  If there is any legit person in this company I have yet to speak with them.  Demand proof of debt before you pay anything to anyone, you may have to request in writing before they send it to you.  Tell them to send you any terms of repayment plan in writing especially if you have worked any kind of deal with them.  Record any and all CONversations with them, and let them know that you are recording them.  If you have been dealing with these people and have been/are being harassed end communication with them immediately.  Contact the original holder of debt and let them know your issues with the collection agency they are using.  You may get lucky and work out a better plan with original holder.  Know your rights under the fair credit reporting act, and if they cross the line take legal action if you can.  The best thing to do if you don't want to talk to them is not answer the phone, that is if you have caller id anyway.

I had actually been suckered in because of how much information they had about my son's and my visit to the hospital. I gave them my account number and everything. They started taking out $150.00 a month from my bank (Yeah, I know I was an idiot). After paying for six months I called them to find out how much more was owed on the account, a man said I owe for a bill and that was the reason I was called, I told him I had called them to find out how much I still owe on my bill. He told me that I am an idiot and lying to him wasn't going to do any good because his records show I owe x ammount for my hospital visit and hadn't paid his company anything. I told him that I was paying on the bill and couldn't do anymore than what I was already doing, he started calling me a deadbeat, accussed me of stealing services, actually told me I was a worthless piece of crap, and I was nothing more than a common run of the mill thief. I started crying and told him that their company was taking out more money than I could actually afford to give and didn't deserve to be talked to like that because I was doing what I thought was the right thing. He told me the right thing would be for me to pay  $150.00 a month to clear my credit because they weren't in the business of letting people just walk away with services and once again said I was nothing more than a common run of the mill thief that wanted everyone else to support them. I told them no one supports me but me and he called me a filthy w***e that didn't want to pay her bill. I wish I had recorded the call but didn't know how. I called them a second time and got a hold of a woman that was more than willing to tell me how much I still owe. My bill had not gone down one bit. When I asked to speak to a manager but I got the run around so many times I ended up just hanging up. I was transfered to ten different people, everytime someone would answer I would tell them I was holding for a manager and they would put me on hold. I now really believe some how a scam company has medical bill information and are scamming people. I cancelled my bank account Thursday and they called today.

For clarification, this "Mike Johnson" fella didn't realize he was calling an attorneys office. When I answered the phone and stated our name there was a long pause followed by I need to speak with Duane. However he could not pronounce his name at all. It sounded more like Dew-ah-knee. I only recognized the last name once he sputtered it out. For people who supposedly work for a "debt collector" they sure don't know their clientle very well. He was very adamant about speaking with him but I was like you know he's unvailable let me get down your information. He kept reitterating the importance of a call back. The whole thing just reeks of a scam to me.

I work for a law office and we received this phone call today asking for one of our attorneys. I immediately suspect something is wrong when this person who does no speak english tell me his name is "Mike Johnson" with National Asset Managment and that he is a debt collector. He thought I was the attorney's wife. Then asked if the attorney was a minor. I was like "um, no he is an attorney, of course he is not a minor". The person continued with a bogus account number and told me that I had to call him back. I'm glad someone else has been called by these people too. This is such a scam.

These turds refer to themselves as "National Asset Managment", a debt collection agency. They claimed I owe a debt to some sleaze outfit identified as "Solutions in Science".  I have previously demanded that thier alleged creditor provide documentation that I ever order any product or service from this alleged creditor, which, of course, they cannot do.
