I have received 10 calls from this number when I answer there is no response.  How can I block this caller?

If you have a smartphone, check your screen for an app market icon, click on it and search for a call-blocking app, or you can download one from www.mr.number.com (if you live in the US). Also, if you live in the US and have a PC, you can set up a free account with Google Voice. It reroutes your annoying callers to another number, and sends them the message that your number is no longer in service. It also makes the scammer's robodialer delete your number from their database, so they no longer call you. Just Google the setup instructions for your kind of phone.

They call every 12 minutes!  And it's always at night, on my cell.   Luckily, I can put the thing on vibrate, but in the morning, there's a ton of calls from them.

They are calling me nonstop!!! You would think a cell phone would allow some privacy!! Nope! They call me several times a day!!!

These people call my number at least 5 times a day and hang up when I answer. I tried calling the number, but it leads to a recording.

We have been getting calls from this number (866-750-5167) for days now.  They have called at least 12 times today.  I do not answer numbers that I am not familiar with.  There should be a way to block these calls and I plan on calling the telephone company regarding these calls, not that I think that will help, but will make me feel better.  Enough is enough!

they call my number and ask for a relative of mine who doesn't live with me. when i ask who they are they hang.

They have called multiple times daily for the past two weeks.  They call anytime from 3:00 p.m. until after 8:00 p.m.  From the comments I've read, I can hardly wait for the election to be over so they'll stop calling.

This # is constantly calling due to the fact we keep getting political calls we are now screening and #'s we don't know.  Have an answering machine getting full of messages from others but this one just hangs up by this time they have called at least 4 times today.  There must be some way to stop this.

The harrassing calls from (866) 750-5167 have started again. Time Warner refuse to help but tell me my only recourse is to change my phone number. Shows how much they care. Prsuimably 866 numbers pay them more than mine.

This research(???)company called me 7 times in 1 1/2 hours, including the last one after 9:00pm. Finally I picked up and leveled the. they just hung up. This outfit needs to identified and stopped, either by criminal or civil action. The FCC needs to get involved. Outrageous.

This number has called our house 3 times in the last 15 minutes.  "Not Provided" we are not going to answer, but I would like to know who they are and report them.  Very annoying

Repeated calls last night. Even when I answered, nobody was there. Just got a really nasty tone in my ear after a few seconds. Finally just turned off the ringer. This morning, the number says it has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

I was getting calls from this number several times a day. I finally decided to see if I could get them to stop. The next time they called I said "Hello", and they asked to speak to me by name. I said "That's me. Please take me off your call list" and hung up. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten another call from them yet.

This phone number calls a few times a day on a business line.

they won't stop calling and we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST! How do we report them???

This number has been calling my home constantley for weeks and when I tried to return the call it stated the number was no longer in use.
However when I called the number back on my cell phone I reached an answering machinge for Congressman Erickson. Something needs to desperatley change in the political tactics area.

I just got a phone call from a polling center and they asked me three questions: 1.) Do you support the surge? 2.) Do you support the patriot act? 3.) Who did you vote for in the primary? I asked them who they were and they said they were just some polling center so for the first question I said no. But I remembered reading an article about how the John McCain campaign was going around asking all of the delegates and alternates these questions and then disqualifying them from being delegates when they got to their state convention based on how they answered. So for the second question I said yes and for the third I said John McCain. Sure enough, at the end of it she said, "This survey was paid for by the John McCain campaign." I quickly asked her if she was at John McCain headquarters and she said no but that she was at a polling center and he paid for her to do the survey. So I told her I heard he was using this information to get the state republican party to disqualify delegates or put only McCain delegates on a slate and then try to get everyone to just unanimously vote that slate through without voting from the floor. She said she didn't know anything about that.

I called the number --Ericson for Congress. The only Eriscon's running for Congress are several states away. I get three calls a day. Yikes!

I agree.  There is really no way I've found to block such calls since there are literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of such numbers.  In the past five days I've received 25 such calls from six different numbers, and research shows countless more that have received similar complaints.  Blocking services allow you to block ten numbers, so you can see that won't work.  I am SO TIRED of being constantly interrupted and having to screen every call.  This is harassment and should be illegal.  I should not have to turn off all the ringers of my phones in order to get a day's work done.  What about the important calls?  I really feel for small business owners who have no option.

I must receive at least 2-3 calls/day from 866-750-5167.  I wish I had the capability on my phone to have calls intercepted before my phone rings.  The call would be blocked and the caller or computer would either get a busy signal or a message saying:  "Your call is not being answered because this number is not authorized to call here and therefore is being blocked.  Also for your information the  times you call, the dates you call, and the number from which the call is being made is currently being logged and the information will be sent to the appropriate authorities."  I only wish....

The same complaint as "all of the above" -- extremely irritating.  I have just turned my phone off.  I too believe it is either political callers or maybe charitable organizations who are also exempt from the "Do Not Call" list.

Yesterday (May 8th) I received numerous calls from the above.  Upon answering immediately there was no response.  Upon not answering and waiting for message on my answering machine, again no reponse.  Is there a way to have this type of call stopped?

Have gotten 7 calls in last 3 days.  Leave no voicemail.  I don't answer because I don't know number.
