Mrs. Hill called my elderly parents and lied that I had given their phone number as a contact on my 'account'.  They are trying to collect a 12 year old overdraft fee from a bank. The fee was imposed after I closed the account in 1999. I sent a cease and desist today. Nice try, QAR in Cheektowaga, NY (near Buffalo).

I just got a call a few minutes ago from this company. A guy named Ray left a message. He was saying they've been trying to send me documents and they've done everything they could but found out I live in new jersey. But I have not lived there for almost 2 years. I have not received any kind of "documents". I don't usually ignore important things. And if I owe something I pay it. So I don't know if it's real. So far from everyones comments it doesn't sound legit.

I received a message from this number stating they need to verify my living address so the can start their investigation.  It was automated.  The message left the 866 number to call back, the website says they are in NY, but the phone number on my caller id says Panama City Fla, phone # 850-250-1988.  Obviously there is something wrong here!!!  And the worst thing is they company they are trying to collect for I am already dealing with them directly to pay my debut and have been for 3 months!!

Don't worry.  If your debt is past the statute of limitations(different in every state) don't even talk to them.  You have nothing to worry about.  Even if you might(slim chance) get a summons, just go, and tell the judge it is past the statute of limitations, and you will win hands down.  Search statute of limitations for your state, and credit cards are considered "open end accounts."  The SOL starts from the day of the last activity on that account.  Good luck, no worries.

I just received a call from this number as well.  Yesterday I received two phone calls.  Whomever called didn't leave a message.  I called them back from my cell, and the phone didn't ring but they answered just saying my name.  I called them back on a blocked number and a recording said Goodbye  I called them back twice and the same thing happened.  Now, I get another phone call today, saying I owe a debt.  These people need to be stopped!

if you decide tosue let me know, I have received a call, but have not been home when they call. They left their name and number and a case number. I am going to ask my teacher who is a lawyer about this.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  Luckily I don't answer any calls that I don't know the number.  The message left was cut off in the beginning but left the phone number and account number.  No account I know of at all.  It has been my experience that when these scammers get a hold of you, it is very hard to get rid of them.  I found one with an address locally and when I was on the phone with them I told them I knew where they were and that I was going to have them arrested.  They laughed until I gave the address.  Then they hung up on me.  Don't mess with them.  They can really screw with you.  And DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!  I hope they can find and arrest them.

I am a employee of QAR and Kevin and Troy are 2 different people and we are in a very small office so it is not uncommen for us to go to the rep and tell them they have a call. So this company is ligit and a very good place to work for.

This place had call early one morning and left a message. When I herd their message I started laughing cause they had left a message for my boyfriends (EX-WIFE) witch whom he has been divorced from for nearily 3 years now! When I called back I told the lady that they were divorced and had been for 3 years and she said, "Well this is the number we had on her account"! I proseeded to tell her that they NEVER had this number together and he had got this number AFTER their divorce! I had also told her that she, his ex-wife, in the past would try to get Credit Cards in his name and run them up and asked her what kind of place that was and she would not tell me anything besides that their records showed that they lived together at one point or another and she would remove his number from the account! I told her that she had to better than that and remove all his info from that account because he don't want any part of what the account was about! The Lady's name was Melissa and she was very inpolite and rude! She also had said that "THE OFFICES OF QAR" Were an Asscet Verifaction Place! I think they should fire people like that lady Melissa cause she don't know how to talk to people at all! She was nothing but a B*TCH to me!!

They called my parents saying my wife had given their number as a reference.  They gave my parents this number and a case number. I called and spoke to a representative.  Case was for loan in my wife's maiden name, therefore, no way she ever gave my parents number to anyone, not that we would do that anyway since we are older adults, not kids.  They did not ask me who I was but gave me my wife's social security number and address.  There is no personal information security at this company. Smells definitely like a scam operation, web site or not.

I was receiving a message once or twice a day from this number and the message referenced someting about my social security number.  The caller provided a "case number" so one day I decided to return the call just to stop the annoyance.  The call was finally put through to a live jerk who said he was with a NY law firm and wanted to talk to me or my attorney because someone was investigating what assets I owned.  I blew up, threatened to call the FCC, and finally hung up.

This guy on the phone thinks he is slick but to a savy business guy... he is a nobody trying to make his money off the mis-fortunes of others!!! what a loser!!!!

I keep receiving calls from this number to. They leave me messages with a very stern voice, saying that  a very serious complaint has been filed against me and my social security.

I BELIEVE THAT FRANK FALZONE AND COMPANY RUN THIS SCAM!!!HIS BROTHER IS IN JAIL FOR THE SAME CRIME!! TROY ELLIS AND KEVIN WARD ARE ONE AND THE SAME!! JUST LISTEN TO THE VOICE!! SCAMMERS-LOOK OUT! I FEEL LAWSUITE ACOMMING UR WAY!!

THEY HAVE SINCE SHUT DOWN THE WEBSITE MAKING IT HARDER TO GET AN ADDRESS TO WITE TO, TO BE ADDED TO THE NATIONAL DO-NOT-CALL-LIST!! SCUM BAGS

called 866-778-0624  I asked for Troy Ellis.  Spoke with Troy Ellis.  He gave two different creditors information.  Troy spoke about one creditor then he didn't make sense.  I called back and now the same person says his name is Kevin Ward.  He had the same exact voice.  Kevin said he would go get Troy and let me speak to him.  Why would you go find a person in the office.  Something didn't sound right.  I believe they are trying to get money.  This company does not sound legit.  Be careful.  I am calling my attorney. It may be fraud company.  This is really suspicious.

My parents got a call from this number, said they were calling for my name (which was all messed up) and my social sec #.  Told me to call them back and refer to a reference number.  When calling them back, they referred to themselves (in a recording) as QAR and their office hours.
Is this a valid place or a hoax and at what point is it harassment?????

A Mr. Troy Ellis called looking for my daughter. Very very rude !! Daughter hasn't lived here in years. When I informed him that he was a debt collector he got very rude and hung up on me. If more calls come in from this number I will report to the FTC for harrassment.

I recieved a message from this company asking me to call back.  When I did I was greeted by a man who asked for my case number.  I told him no case number was given - he told me that "Maybe next time you should pay more attention" and hung up on me.  When I called back I got the same person on the phone.  I asked him if he had just hung up on me and said "Maybe I did."  After being connected to the person who had called in the first place I told them that the person they were looking for had no connection to our phone number and asked for a supervisor.  The supervisor appologized for the representative I had spoke with earlier, but thought the whole operation seemed a bit shady.  In the message they mentioned social security numbers, bank account numbers, etc.....I'd watch out!

They called my parents and my brother who is unlisted and gave my personal information on their machines.  GIving out a phone number and a case number.  Last time I checked, I was never served with any papers and I work as a paralegal.  As far as I can tell they are going against the FCRA in every way shape and form and should be sued themselves.  Hey, that gives me an idea

I have received two automated calls from this number asking for a person who does not reside at our address.  During the second automated call, I remained on the line to let the company know that the person they were calling for did not reside at our address.  The human attendant was rude and told me that I was lying!  I politely discontinued our call.  

After a few hours and a little bit of research, I found the online posts for this phone number and company.  (Thank you for writing.)  During this time, I received a third call (2nd call of the day).  When I explained to the operator that the individual did not reside at our address, she apologized for the inconvenience.  

After reading all of the online posts regarding this company, I was concerned that this call may become an issue.  Accordingly, I looked at their website (http://www.qar-inc.com/contacts.htm) and contacted the company to report their oversight (1-866-778-0624).  The person who answered the phone was very apologetic and assured me that she would remove my phone number immediately.  During this call, I reported the first attendant?s rudeness.  She apologized for their behavior.

I was worried about the repercussions associated with being contacted by this company.  They have my phone number and are linked with inappropriate collections and/or scams.  Accordingly, I contacted the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Response Center (1-877-382-4357) and filed a claim.  The FTC attendant directed me to write QAR and let them know that I wish to cease all communication with them.  I am communicating this directive to them via their ?Contact Us? forum on their website.  After the written communication is received, QAR is only allowed to contact me to confirm the receipt of this directive.  If they opt to continue contacting me, I could sue them.

Moreover, they violated the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act when they contacted me twice in one day.
