I get calls from this number 1-866-779-8954 on my home phone on the caller ID it shows up as MRS ASSOCIATES I have no clue who this is and hasn't left a message Very Strange.

Looks like Franklin Collections is a legitimate company - but, whomever is calling from this number is NOT legitimate and not really associated with the legitimate company, do not give her any money!!!
I just called the real Franklin to let them know that they have someone operating under their name.  I would encourage you to do the same.

My husband and I speak several languages and our fun is acting as if "no English" and usually the ppl have a foreign speaker call back at which time we simply use diff language. It's having fun vs the obvious response of aggravation. However, I have answered this number several times by muting and no response, immediately hang up. Now where's the fun in that?? Hoping the robot will gdt bored and report as "bad number". Hang in there ppl! This is only gonna get worse with almost no landlines to hunt us down or just aggravate us. Another option is asking detailed info on caller and robotlike state that this call is being recorded to add to your correspondsncd to the FCC. Thank them and click.... Good Luck!

I sent in an application for an apartment and within the past four days I started receiving all of these phone calls. I was even sent a prepaid debit card in my name through the mail. Not sure if this is legal or not, but my dumb a** can't afford a lawyer. They called and when I answered no one was there. Called this number back, automated voice wanted an extension number, and of course I didn't have one. So it automatically disconnected.

Some woman from this FCS called me at 10pm about an AT&T bill that I do not owe. Regardless, collection attempts are illegal after 9pm. I told her that but she insisted I pay right then. I asked who she was and she gave her name (which I forgot). I told her I don't give my credit card info to strangers over the phone. She started threatening me and hung up in my face.

This will be reported to the Attorney General first thing Monday morning.

This number has been calling me nonstop for over 3 months. They are looking for someone I have never heard of. I tried to explain this to them and tell them not to call back. They keep calling anyway. I have reported them, hopefully that will work.

Automated service called me and I made the mistake of confirming who I am.  It redirected me to a line where I was put on hold for at least 60 seconds, and then "Tracy" proceeded to tell me that She was from Franklin Collection and was contacting me about a debt from someone that I had already paid off.  She refused to let me say anything that didn't sound like I was going to pay.  She was very beligerent and talked over me.  She refused to allow me to explain that I needed proof of who she was because the one I owed had my forwarding address and she kept quoting the address that was taken from the SC IRS when it was hacked.  I had to hang up to keep from using inappropriate words.

This people call me all the time but when i call them back they are not answering and i was put on hold forewer.

If you get a call from them they are full of crap. They said I owed 2 debts. I have a credit score over 900 and always pay my bills. Are they serious.   I told them I would investigate it myself. I called the places and I have no outstanding debt. So these people are not legit.

Why are they calling?

Received a call on my cell phone asking for my fiance. I went on to tell them that this is not his number and asked who it was and they were unable to give me information other than it was urgent he called them back concerning a dept they are trying to collect. Well we have no dept for one. But they claimed they were trying to collect money from him over an AT & T cancellation. My fiance has never has had service with AT &T. We contacted AT&T and they have no correlation with this collections company. Watch out who you send your money to and what for. They tried doing this to us just the other night! They are extremely unprofessional and rude. Anything to scam people I swear!

This unknown person has called many times day and late night. They won't state who they are and why they are calling until I give my full name. I have asked them to stop calling with no luck.

Calls from this number on my on my cell and my work number (direct line).  Whenever I answer, they hang up. i haven't received any voicemails from this number.

I keep getting these phone calls! It is so annoying! I don't answer it and they never leave a message. I figure if it is important enough they will leave a message. This is ridiculous!

Scam artists cell phone and land line companies sell phone lists to these scumbags. Phone companies should be sued for selling phone lists.

Just got a call from this # on a Sunday night.  Legit or not, I don't think that is legal.

calls several times. don't leave a message. I return the call it'll say call can't be completed.

8667798954 is a collection agency. My Home Depot payment was 1 day late an they call me at 20 times just that one day.

Please do not use your fax number or they will harass you until your ink runs out of the fax machine.

They started calling after I responded to a text from a Money Mutual type lender. I filled out some of the info and never completed my application. Suddenly, NUMEROUS calls started coming in from various scams like these people. I do not owe money, I just partly  inquired about a small loan - big mistake. These people used to call me and threaten that I was being sued and I or my lawyer needed to call them back. They try to get you to pay $ x amount to make they lawsuit go away. Thing is, there is NO lawsuit! It's a scam. Now they just call and hang up. It's 9:40 on Wednesday night and I JUST got another call from these horrible people. I pray there is such thing as Karma...

Same here...AT&T said I owe them cancellation fee ....which is not true. Is been over 6 years! Now they are trying to call me! No to that!

thanks to your post i now know why they are calling me. an old AT&T cancellation fee/bill that was suppose to be waived and never was.....well they can sit on it and rotate! cause im not paying them!

Franklin Credit Services do a lot of "collection" work for A T & T.  After having A T & T for 5 years on their 2-year cell phone plan, I cancelled the service and was soon harassed by an outrageous bill for over $400, saying I "was in violation of my contract terms."  I called A T & T 3 times, each time getting a higher tiered manager, explained I owed them nothing and insisting they end their harassment.  Months went by.  All of a sudden, Franklin Credit Services started calling.  I put their number on my blocked list and then their collection notices arrived...their client?  The idiots at A T & T...again trying to collect money I've never owed.  A T & T thinks that because they're huge, no one will stand up to them.  Ooops.....your next attempt to fraudulantly "collect" will be handled by an attorney, who lives to chew your dumb corporate a***s.

I got a call today from 866-779-8954, it was a recording that said to hold on for an urgent message. The caller said "Hello" then hung up. I reported them to the FTC.
