Filled out an online information request on a used car at a Honda dealership.   Was contacted by the ACTUAL dealership, test drove the car, and decided I wanted to keep my current Honda.  AFTER this, this number began calling me and just today called me on my work number, which I definitely know I did NOT enter on any online inquiries, especially since they called me on my old work number!

My theory is that they have to be in some kind of deal with the dealerships because the Honda dealership DID have my old work number since I had purchased my current Honda there 2 years ago. The whole thing is just weird-both cell and work number are on the do not call list.  Ridiculous.

I called them back and it was Ford.

As far as I recall, I only put my info out for specific Honda dealers, but come to think of it, I might have gotten 1 or 2 of them through Auto Trader since the main Honda site I went to only let me send quote requests to a limited number of dealers (3, I think). I'll have to go backtrack because I think I only put out quotes through Honda.com directly and via KBB or Edmunds, but it's possible I saw dealer listings for other Honda dealers while researching the car. I'm going to go to their site and check it out now. Wish I'd bookmarked all the places I submitted to yesterday. They keep calling me too and don't leave a message. Highly annoying tactics and whoever it is... I'm not buying.

I got a call today after putting in a few price requests online for a new car. Are you on the west coast? It sucks if some loser Honda dealer is selling our info, especially since it's my cell phone. I don't want to pay to listen to somebody try to sell me something.

Been getting multiple calls everyday from this number for the last four days... Must be for a car thing I submitted online, since I see that's what most everbody thinks it is.  I haven't answered the phone yet, but think I will next time and tell them to stop calling me! Hopefully it will be a real person..

Like every1 else I got calls from this number, no message and don't recall giving anything to Ford but did give out for price quotes for vehicles.

I started getting these calls day after I completed internet form to get price on Nissan car.
I used AutoTrader site (are they selling these numbers?) AutoTrader should come clean, even try investingate this problem. And where is FTC on this? Has anybody complaint to them?
I will, but they need more people to call them.

i also signed up for info on a new ford and continue to be called by this number all week. i think i will block it. agreed that this is really crappy business, ford, i am disappointed.

Same here. I filled out the online quote request last night for a Ford vehicle. This number called, but no one on the other side.

Who is this?  I don't recognize the number and I've received a number of calls.  No voice message left for me either.

I also recivied a call for this number. I had also been looking at ford pickup online. I called the number and for sure it was about the online enquire. they were aware of the local dealership.. Since I had already talked to the dealer I hope the calls stop.

Seems like the same story here as well. Looked at some car websites yesterday and requested a price on a car. Next morning I get a call from this number. No one responded when I picked up.

I've been receiving 2 calls per day with no voicemail from this number since I requested an "Internet Price" from Ford about 72 hours ago.  Furthermore, I attempted to call the number back several times to investigate who it might be, but was disconnected each time.  Judging by my experience and that of others on here, this seems to be an annoying Ford sales tactic.

Sometimes the connection could be bad on either ur part or their part...but they are calling b/c of ur online internet request for a vehicle.

I'm looking for a car lately also and this number just started calling repeatedly - so it appears this is some kind of car sales dealio, as below in other posts..

A call from 866-793-0109 this am.  Caller is unknown.  I twas online looking at vehicles and I specified an email reply.  Of course you have to give them a phone # too. If this is Ford calling  it's a pretty crappy way  of of doing business.

Got 3 calls with no messages. Picked up the most recent and they hung up about 5 seconds later.

I just got 3 calls from this number today. no message left.

Received multiple calls from this number, do not know who it is because they won't leave a message.

This was a Nissan dealer rep calling me in response to information I entered online yesterday regarding a local used car sale in North Texas. In this case it's legit.
