This is from a company called National Check Restitution Service.  Basically, they are the hitmen for loan sharks.  They buy debt from any checks they claim have bounced, whether you bounced it or not is irrelevant.  They then sue you for the amount.  They are the worst kind of collection agency, but they do sue.  They are buying old debt and suing for it.  If you get a call from these folks, get a lawyer fast.

i recieved a call yesterday from a seth myles stating that he would have my husband arrested for not paying a debt. i contacted my lawyer who told me to calm down that he can not have him arrested and that the scare tactect is illegal. i looked this company up on the BBB website and saw they have 8 complaints in the last year and 6 of them were not even answered by the company. only two were resolved. after speaking to the atterney general in my state i found out that the company in under investigation and not to worry about my husband getting arrested.

First they have to send a letter demanding payment.  Then you the debtor send them a debt validation letter.  They then have to respond and send you legal copies of any check(s) or loan contracts they claim you have signed.  And these copies cannot be photocopies.   Even then all they can do is sue in civil court and hope they can win the judgement.

This is a company called "National Check Restitution Service".  The man that called told my family member he is a process server-LIAR!  His name is Blake Bovain (unsure of correct spelling).  Told family that I was going to be arrested for check fraud.  Looked up their web-site.  www.ncrsi.com  Looks like they are a start-up collection agency or spin-off of another simliar company that filed bankrupcy last year.  No testimonials on their site, no physical address, etc.  Probably satellite offices.  Man sounded like he was from Jersey or New York.  I am investigating further and when I find out where they are out of I will report them to the States Attorney General in their juristiction.  Also calling my attorney to have him call them and demand a Cease and Desist until they can prove the alleged check fraud.  Unfortunately this is what these companies are resorting to.   No better than mob tactics.  Protect yourself, call an attorney!
