I got such a call three or four days after I activated a new Verizon pay-as-you go phone.  I didn't answer it but I'm guessing it is an informational call from Verizon, as described by other users.

got a call from this number on a 3 day old newly activated prepaid cell phone from verizon... I have not given the number to anyone except my family, and i am assuming it was sold by verizon on a "new activation" list to a marketing firm. no vm left.

I got this call 3 days after I activated my prepay verizon phone. they called my twice in one day. I never picked it up

This is the Verizon Wireless "Messaging Service" calling.  It's an automated information menu that let's you learn about the PrePay phone you just bought.  Annoying for sure.  But it is an airtime free call.

I got a call from this number twice within 4 hours. I just activated my prepaid Verizon cell phone about 4 days ago.

Same for me, three after activation i got a call.  
I have not given out the number.
They should ID the Number.

Well, I called the FCC twice today about Verizon's 'practices", and I just e-mailed also. Just sick-and-tired of all of this and I'm sure some of it violates certain rights.

After recently activating my Verizon cell phone.I received several calls from this phone number, identified as "NO NAME'.    When I went to the Verizon store I asked them who it was and they said they didn't know.

I have received calls from this phone number shortly after reactivating my Verizon pre-pay cell phone, identified as "NO NAME".  Of course I didn't answer it.  When I asked at the Verizon store they said they didn't know.  Oh well, this is an improvement over my last cell phone number where I was hounded day and night by three collection agencies.  I tried to tell them I was not the person they were seeking but it did no good.  So I stopped using my phone for almost a year.

Hey i don't think it is verizon for sure its a prerecorded thing because it was like it was acting like a three way call getting fowarded.
