I am feed up with these calls, the lest they could do is to respond to your answering their calls instead of hanging up.  If I could get the cord to their neck I would pull it tight.  Thanks for the number to Mr. Mclane, maybe if he get enough calls from us the calls will time.

They call us and have been calling us!! I dont know who it is but i do wish someone would make them stop.. If it is att/bellsouth so it must be a marketing call and it is bull that we have to put up with these types of phone calls.....

I called the 888-764-2500 number and the operator said that they would take our number off their marketing list so that we won't receive any more calls from the 866-819-5368 number. Is worth the try if it works---good luck

I just changed my number to an unpublished number. I have not had the new number a full month yet and I received a call from the same number. Go figure! I pay $4.50 every month and this is what I get.

This is ridiculous how this number keeps calling and hanging up!!!  I'm fed up and if it doesn't stop, I'm switching my number and going with a company who can protect its consumers from this type of harassment.  Maybe if Bush wasn't spending all of the money we pay in taxes on this stupid war, we could advance our technology to keep our country safe from crap like this.

Get lots of calls and hang-ups from 866-819-5368. It's really annoying. Just wish they would stop.

I get the same call Tuesdays and Saturdays after 7:00 usually and it is always a hang up after my first hello. If this is a bellsouth # than I'm surely cancelling my service.

When you say "Hello", there's a brief silence on the other end before the marketer responds.  I think they are using automated dialers, and when they get a live hit, the marketer has to read your information before she goes into her pitch.  Mine was trying to sell me AT&T bundled services and was difficult to understand due to a heavy accent.  Her pitch was that she going to save me money on my monthly bill, but the savings were actually against a higher priced bundle.  (Some of you reported silence on the line, and my guess is that the marketers were tied up making pitches and couldn't respond when the auto dialer selected you.)

This is a company I believe is overseas and keeps calling.  When I ask them to stop they started making threats to release my number to 100 other companies.

haha, i love it when these people call! it gives me a chance to work on my acting skills. like two seconds ago, i got the call, and i pretended to be from jive records, and waited like ten seconds, and someone, who actually sounded good, said hello, and i hung up. =P

COMPLAIN at 888-764-2500.  Tell them to take you off of their solicitation list.  That will include phone calls, mail, and email sales.

Claimed to be soliciting for Neilson Ratings, to do an internet diary on household viewing habits. Gave me another number to verify who she is working for 800-237-8611. Apparently this number is purchased by companies to solicit and or poll.

I have call blocking and after setting the block it only rings once.

I get a call at the same time each morning-9:37 central time. Sometimes sometimes will answe when I say hello (tell them I don't want to change to AT&T) and sometimes no one will reply on their end when I say hello. I am up late at nights and they wake me up each morning soon after I get in bed. Never had a company harass me like this one. I am on the national do not call list but apparently it does not apply to AT&T. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me to stop these calls from AT&T.

I guess there is no end in sight since this thread has been going since about 2006!  It seems to be the shenanigans of AT&T, something I have deduced from reading the previous threads and being that I live in the southeast part of the US.  I work the night shift, so when the phone rings during my sleep time...it had better be family or a better job offer, not some customer service crap.  By the way, has anyone found out if we all could SUE THE CRAP OUT OF AT&T?  Seriously.  Maybe this newly elected presidential administration will say enough is enough, and disallow mega-companies like this to run all over the consumer.  Besides, I no longer use AT&T/Bellsouth services.  The public doesn't realize it but, if you have just the internet and the right (LEGAL) software, your phone service total costs (nearly up to 4 lines) can be reduced to just the taxes you pay on your land-line service.  Check your old phone bill and you will see that its maybe 3- 4 bucks a month?  I don't know anymore...

the most annoying number in the world (866-819-5368). constantly calls my home number, and then hangs up. i swear if i had their neck in my hands, i'de well you know. i tried to block it every way possible, but nothing seems to work. sombody has to do something about this!!!

After frequent calls and hang ups, I finally called the number and got an AT&T call center.  The call center could do nothing - couldn't even identify the number.  How do we get it shut off?

I thought I was the only one receiving these calls. I checked the area code "819" and was told it was in Quebeck, Canada. I get at least 2 to 3 calls daily- from early morn until late in the eve. Since I am 87 yrs old and live alone, it is very annoying to have this happen to you.  If it is AT&T, maybe they are upset be-cause I just switched to Suddenlink.  I have been on the "do not call" list but I still receive these calls. I do not answer calls that has name "not provided" because of so many scams.

I keep getting calls, about once a day from 866-819-5368. I have told these MORONS at AT & T to stop calling me on 4 different occasions. The calls will stop for about a week then start up again. Man I wish I knew who to contact, that speaks GOOD ENGLISH, and could put a stop to this crap.

I called the number back.  It is the AT&T customer service line.  Of course, it was answered by a computer.
